What about the Paladin SPG or a Crusader? Would either of those work or is that pushing the rules a bit too much?

OK, finally found my Titan III kit which I had accidently hidden behind another kit on the shelf. I thought the box was bigger so didn't look behind a box for a 1:700 ship model.

I have assembled the major components for the Titan III and filled and filed the numerous seams. The fit was pretty bad as there are few internal braces for the tubes that make up the boosters and the central vehicle. I had to cut off the few pins I found as they did not match corresponding holes without throwing off halves. I have not used the second stage and trans-stage combustion chambers and exhaust bells as I glued the different stages together. Also left out is the "payload" under the nose cone.

Still need to strip chrome plating from the parts that support the first stage combustion chambers and exhaust bells, plus parts that support the supplemental liquid fuel rockets mounted on the boosters.

Started with the ammunition limber of my Bishop. Unfortunately had to move out of my house for a couple of weeks while the floor gets replaced, and forgot to bring my super glue, so the PE parts will have to wait.

Limber ammo trays 50% compete. Most of a mornings work cleaning up and then trying to keep each of the 6 delicate parts per tray aligned without losing them to the carpet monster.



Only 8 more trays to make.

A break from the trays to work on a bit of the hull interior.


Have also been working on a few bits that I can assemble on the sprue like the external fuel tank, that way it should survive in the box when I have to transport it all back home.

Sorry for the late response, have been out for a month dealing with a family emergency.

I would say a Valkyrie would be okay. Very cool aircraft--obviously designed by someone who spent a lot of time around ducks.

Got all the limber ammo trays competed, the limber itself is about 70% complete.
Gun barrel is done. A few other items like jerry cans are also assembled.

Also got about 25 parts glued on to the upper hull, but it barely looks like I have done anything to it. This kit is hugely complicated

Mark, there seems to be a couple of Priests already underway...The ZSU-23-4 Shilka is also know as the "Zeus"...would that qualify?

Interesting idea for a campaign. So, I have a quick question...can one of you guys, more knowledgable the I in armor vehicles, list what is made in kits that is named after a God? I see few names of vehicles have been mentioned but it will make things easier for guys like myself who are still figuring out armor modeling. I saw a pic of hmmwv with a Christian flag as I think it was a chaplains vehicle, but I don't think a hmmwv qualifies for this campaign. So, info will be greatly appreciated

Clayton: I've not heard the Shilka called Zeus before, but if that is the case then it definitely fits.

Mike: Not being a complete expert myself, and wanting to avoid the risk of implying something is not allowed if I fail to list it, I would rather suggest reading through the whole thread to see what types of things people have mentioned. Should give you a broad spectrum of ideas from which to choose. I will say that under the campaign rules if you do a HMMWV as part of a dio that clearly depicts a chaplain doing what chaplains do it would be entirely appropriate.

Wiki states it's nicknamed Zeus. Can't find the link now but one article says NATO pilots call it Zeus. Doing an advanced search for "Shilka Zeus" nets articles and images referring to the subject vehicle.

Oops! I guess I never came back with an answer on the ZSU. I've stretched my original concept pretty far to allow some other things in, so why not this one? Sure, bring it on. I kind of like the ZSU anyway.

Excellent! This will,by far, be the most ambitious kit I've ever done! A bit of PE and metal barrels, I'm ready to rip!

Now I am back home with access to my super glue,I have begun the installation of photo etch parts to the limber of my Bishop.

A seemingly impossible endeavor, when some of the parts are literally tiny strips of brass requiring edge gluing with very little contact area. Trying to hold the parts in place while the glue cures is tempting me to close up the limber, despite all the trouble I have gone to making the ammo racks. Even once the glue is dry, the limited glued surface means the tiniest knock breaks the strip off.
Will try to get a photo this evening showing the delicacy of the parts.

You can just see 2 of them partially glued on the limber already.


For the rest I may just cut lengths of styrene strip to replace the brass. Wil be much easier and more secure when glued.
