Clayton, forgive my ignorance, how does Shilka tie into the "Holy Orders"?

I wish I would have joined this campaign when it started. I'm too deep into too many campaigns at the moment. I hope y'all do a Holy Orders Mk. 2

Good question, Dustin. We let the Shilka in based on it's nickname 'Zeus'--derived from ZSU.

Coming back after taking a couple of years off from building. Decided to enter in a few campaigns to ease back in. This one was easy since I've had Academy's M7 Priest in my stash for a number of years.

Here is my entry for the campaign:

Love to see all these Priests since it was kind of the inspiration for the campaign in the first place. Started applying mud to the undercarriage of mine yesterday. Will hopefully wrap up this build in a week or two.

Well, managed to get some quality bench time in after the Thanksgiving festivities wrapped up. Ready to call this one done:

Sorry about that, Sal. I know I discussed some of the worst pitfalls, but I now realize it was in a different thread.

Work recommences on the bishop.

Interior is mostly painted and everything is primed pending construction.

Have discovered that the upper hull is quite significantly warped at the rear. Might have to stick under the hot tap and try and get close to straight.

Rather annoyingly, Bronco kits appear to have no painting information other than the overall colour/camo scheme.
On my 17pdr the only colour call during assembly was for the wooden shovel handle.
On the bishop there is quite a bit more interior detail almost none of which is given any colour information. The only colour call is for the shells in brass, which to my mind was the one item that really didn't need to be specified.

Drivers compartment is done, just need to do the engine bay and the hull will be ready to close up.

Only missing a box and a tommy gun which I can still add once the upper hull is on.

Haven't decided if I will open up the transmission for viewing yet, so installed it just in case. Buttoned up, nothing in that area would be visible as far as I can tell.

Unfortunately I can't just clamp it in place while glue dries, as even held in place there's still a noticeable upward slant to the outer portion.

Iain, looking good with the interior. Looks like you have a little work to straighten out the fenders

Paint job looks good so far. Maybe soak in some hot water and bend to shape?

Hot water was the plan and late last night got a chance to try it.



Careful flexing after soaking in about 80C water, got it pretty close. There's a little bit of waviness still evident along the length of the upper hull edges, but hopeful that should get evened out as everything gets glued in place.
