Normally build flying thingies, but I do love the Stug III, so I'm entering with this offering from Dragon.

Andy,
Welcome to the campaign! Glad to see you making the jump from wings to tracks.
I've always like the boxiness of the F and G models.
Looking forward to enjoying it with you.

Hi Everyone!
Had some good hours to work on the Nashorn recently and have begun to experiment with oil washes and pigments.

Quick update, build stage is done and primed, wheels painted, tracks blackened and given some grimy lifecolor washes. First time using the Mr. Surfacer spraycan and it was fantastic, I've found my new primer for models w/PE.

Chris,
Great to see some progress. Did you decant the primer before you sprayed?

My artillery campaign build is 99% complete. Looking at my next project. This is a 2001 reissue of a 1971 Tamiya kit with a low parts count. Should be a quick build for me.

I've got some Mr Surfacer in a rattle can that I use for some things. It does work very well, but I've found that it tends to clog up fine mesh and other details so I tend to use it very sparingly.

Thanks Gary and Anthony. I used the primer straight out of the can and with it's self-leveling quality, it was really easy to get a consistent finish after a few light coats.

Hello all,
My progress is very slow but still hope to finish till the deadline. Yesterday evening the green camo was sprayed on. Brown will follow tomorrow (hopefully) and next week the weathering can be started... Still one month to go.
cheers,
Zsolt

Thanks The base is Ammo MIG Dunkelgelb (from their late war german afv set) and the green is Gunze H405 Olive green. The brown will be also from Ammo MIG but I have two shades of Rotbraun and had not decided yet, which to use
cheers,
Zsolt

Zsolt,
I'm liking the start of your camo pattern. Very keen to see it with the browns. One thing you can say about panzer camo is that it allows the builder some great artistic license.

Mark,
It's good to see some quick progress. No doubt you'll beat the deadline.

Small new update: Chipping by oil colors
Posted: Saturday, March 25, 2017 - 01:33 AM UTC
Daniel,
That's a good start. I built the Marder II a long time ago. I think the sprues were all one color back then.
Martin,
The camo colors have blended together nicely! The fresh rust stands out nicely.
