Gaz,
I think your wear techinique is one of the best I've seen.

Well 90% of the StuG is built, but as I bought this kit second hand at a show, I did not realise there were several parts missing.
The inner half of the sprocket was gone, so I replaced them with metal A.M ones from Fruil.
Then when I got to installing the gun, low and behold the whole of the F sprue was missing, this sprue contains the breech, barrel and the rear of the mantlet, so I have bought an A.M barrel from Aber, and I will have to scratch build the mantlet (both not installed yet). Not too worried about the breech as you cant see it once the two figures go into the top hatches.

Howdy Y'all
Andy & Daniel-Good progress! Thanks for the photos, they are always a help for modelers who wonder "how do they do that?"
I've done very little on my 1/72 Jeep & 37mm AT gun. I'll add some weathering this week, flat coat it next weekend and call it done.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Andy,
Great work so far! I think I would have sunk into despair missing key parts. I applaud your pluck!
Don,
Glad to see some progress. I understand how things get in the way of builds. When I was a kid, I had no money but heaps of time. Now, though not rich, I can buy any model I want, whenever I want. But finding the hours to complete them...that's the hard bit.

Did you use masks on the roadwheels? They look perfect!

To One and All,
After some interruptions, I can finally get back to work on the JSU-122. Here is a current progress shot. I have the tracks from Masterclub completed. I have added some brass grab handles and I am working on the fuel tanks now. The tow cables are from Karaya. I should make the deadline of the end of the month.
Thanks,
Stephen

Stephen,
Glad to see some progress on your JSU. I hope you can meet the deadline. If like to see more builds completed before the deadline.

I'm in the home stretch now.
I am loosely following this pic for my build.
Just need to add decals and tools.

Hey everybody!
Only twenty-two (22) days to go to the end of the campaign!
I've finished my second tank hunter:
Special thanks to my friend Chris from New Zealand.
Regarding this kit: I didn't feel it was a bad kit. The parts all looked nice and for the most part, fit wasn't bad. The fighting compartment did indeed have a floor.
If I could have changed anything, it would have been for more details inside the fighting compartment. I could have added some infantry gear, fashioned some bread bags, helmets, etc. But it was my choice to avoid the extra commitment.
Compared to the highly detailed Dragon Marder IIIh I built before this, I have to admit it was almost a relief not to have to mess with PE parts. I have three Dragon and one Tamiya armor kits in my stash. I fear that my temperament might lean more toward the slightly-less detailed kits. I did enjoy the Academy Tiger I Late, after all.
