Hello,
My contribution to the campaign:

The Academy kit went well, except for the decals that were a pain to put on especially on curved surfaces. It just wouldn't stick properly. In the end I had to paint the yellow chevrons and stripes, as well as the pattern on the propeller nose. At least the Balkenkreuz held up; the Hakenkreuz came from an AM decal set.
This build was a nostalgia trip for me, as the first ever kit I built was a Matchbox Ju 87G. It went thru various mutations since then and I think I still have it in a box with other wingy things I've built ages ago.
Thanks for having me here, and hats off to you Gaz for leading this campaign!
Cheers,
Tat

Tat,
Beautiful job! I really like the finish on your Stuka. Despite the difficulties, you've made a very appealing build. Congratulations on completing it!

Mark, Gaz, Pawel, and Mark C. -- guys thanks for the kind words! It has been a really long while since I did a wingy thing. Congrats on your finishes and see you all in the next campaign! Cheers, Tat
Which reminds me -- I have to get started on Pawel's and Mike's campaigns soon!

Tat, beautiful work. One of the best Stukas I've ever seen.
Pawel- Your Elephant looks great, a really fine job of weathering!

Pawel,
Congratulations on completing your fantastic Elefant! You've really done a great job on the Italeri kit. I like the dark camo scheme and the way you've muddied her up and rusted the tracks.
Splendid!

Rick I'm having a similar issues trying to upload pics to a campaign gallery! I've talked with admin hopefully someone can give us an idea as to what's happening.

To be honest, the gallery isn't very user friendly. Your best bet to avoid to many problems that arise from the gallery is to have a free photo sharing place like photobucket or Dropshots. The you just link the phot on the free sharing site to the web page here and Bob's your uncle.

Rick,
Have you checked the size of the pic? I don't think the gallery takes in more than 800 x 600 pixels.

Done!
Eventually, I hope to put this in a small dio with a 1st Fallschirmjäger crew and an Italian building.
Until then, I'd welcome any ideas about how to make this look better. I feel like it looks more weathered than the photos show.
This campaign is the first time I'm tried some new things:
1) German crosses are my first attempt with Photo-etch stencils instead of decals. (I love them)
2) Trying colors other than Black and Steel on the track, and using pigments to weather them.
3) Using Baking Soda to add texture to the mufflers.
Looking forward to following the other builds! And I'll drop photos in the Gallery.
Steve

Steve,
Great job! Congratulations completing I don't have a light box, (and am certainly no expert on photography) and find that less of my weathering shows up on camera either. On the flip side, less of my errors show up on camera, too.
I'm mightily impressed by your radio set!

Steve-I have to agree. The photos make it look subtly weathered with the right amount of wash/filter. I like the weathered floor, you've made it "pop." Great job on your model.
Take care,

Roman,
Thank you for submitting your JSU-152 to the campaign. You're off to a great start! I'm really looking forward to seeing an Egyptian scheme on it.
