Hi guys
Let's not forget that many an atrocity has been committed as the Star and Stripes or Union Jack flutters serenely overhead. How about the UK inventing concentration camps in the Boer War, or the US wiping out most native Americans in the Indian Wars?
I agree Isis are a horror and need to be stopped, but I can't agree that those stopping them have clean hands.
With a sigh

1. Who said anything of the sort?
2. This "righteous indignation" - without any prompting event by the way - is no better than that in the original post. Lesser, perhaps, but not better.

Well maybe we shouldn't fight them at all and you can fend them off with Twitter feeds from Cher, Matt Damon and Michael Moore!

Just silly. Nazi fetishism runs rampant in our hobby and no one blinks an eye. I'm thrilled Archer are doing these. ISIS and Nazis are two peas in a sick, twisted pod anyway.

Well I'm currently working on a beheading diorama and I think these flags would go perfectly with it. (just kidding - the Onion is my fave "/newspaper")

What is the problem?
One has to acknowledge evil in the world.
A modeler could use these in two ways
--targets for the 'good guys' tanks
--war booty after the battle much like holding up Swastikas or flags of the rising sun during WW2.

I unfortunately have to agree with this gentleman. Archer should have at least included a TRIGGER WARNING. ISIS is offensive on so many levels, besides being mass murderers. Some people simply can't handle the thought of them.

Allan, I actually found the thread informative because I will need one of these flags for a vignette featuring a HUMVEE and some Peshmerga forces who have vanquished some of these ISIS fighters. Now I know where to find them instead of having to scratchbuilt it so thank you to the original poster.
Sincerely,
Ian

I agree ISIS is quite offensive, but are they any more offensive than the Fascist and Stalinist dictatorships of the 20th century Archer has been making correct insignia for years without any warnings? Not really.

If someone requires a warning label on a something like a set of decals to alert the user of possible microaggression-triggering and offensive content, it's really time to start looking for less threatening, safe space-compatible alternative pastimes such as snowflake collecting.

WOW, that brings back memories! I had an awesome smowflake collection when I was very young. Before I ended up with a not so awesome water puddle in the car. Mom wasn't amused.

I'm guessing sales will increase after all the free advertising.

I thought Arpad was joking about the "trigger warnings" I suppose not.
To Arpad: if you're looking at an online list of Archer products and on that list is "ISIS flags" -- and you choose or not to click onto that product link -- what else can you expect? What would this "trigger warning" look like? It's not like Archer is splashing it on their homepage.

I wonder if this guy (subject of the thread) would be as outraged if Archer or another decal manufacturer decided to make decals and whatnot of some of the extreme groups in the US, for example: the Klan. Would he be as outraged at that manufacturer as he is at Archer? I know that nowadays, the two groups are vastly different on certain aspects but the correlation remains relevant.
Although, I have to say, considering how f'd up IS thinks, if those idiots see that decal sheet, they might proclaim it as "propaganda." Just a thought.

Nothing to see here folks ,move along. Move along.
Any hobby that has long since sold Nazi battle flags, etc, certainly has room for Issis flags. Isn't the usual montra that the Nazi flags are "historically significant"? Or the Rebel flag for that matter. I build waffen SS stuff sometimes and believe it or not,it hasn't made me a Nazi!! Holy cow.

This... But... Caffeine.... I don't see the correlation between having too much caffeine in the morning and posting comments such as these...
