Not very surprising in our current atmosphere of faux rages about every and anything.
1) dude needs to get a grip. it's a hobby
2) ISIS fans aren't building models
3) ISIS fans want bigger flags
4) dude needs to get a grip. it's a hobby

No kidding. Nothing more insincere than an expression of faux indignation. Wanna bet he builds General Lee Chargers with the Stars and Bars on the roof?

So funny. It's cool to build all sorts of tanks that have the iron cross on them but ISIS is a no-go?
Last I checked, the Nazi's body count was significantly higher than ISIS. Guessing that the USSR has a higher body count as well but I see lots of T-whatevers being built. Heck, I'm building a Soviet AFV right now.
Disclaimer - I don't support ISIS, they are cockroaches.
But seriously guys....

So what would this be? "Wait a minute . . . Wasn't their latest "exciting" announcement a King Fvcking Tiger?!? Are you sh1tting me? It hasn't been a year since people responded to a the latest DML Tiger I announcement with "Yawn", and you are calling the release of new subjects "boring" but another King Tiger "exciting"??
This has to be a fvcking joke. It has to be."

One is an over reaction and the other is a cry of frustration.
Personally I have wanted ISIS flags if only to model a burnt out wreck.
Wasn't there a similar reaction over recent Russian /Ukrainian affairs? Where recent happenings stirred so much passion that people read politics into a model building subject?
I know of at least one guy who did some excellent work of dubious taste with Waffen SS gloating over dead Allied troops. But still it's only a hobby. I judge something by the skills of the builder and care not a wit for their politics.
Until if course they see me looking at their piece and feel obliged to lecture me on their theories of history. No matter distasteful I find them, I am a good listener.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and however much I may disagree with it I will fight for their right to share it.

The last thing any one of us needs is another distraction to aid the polarization of one another...

Yeah, I'd call that an overreaction. But one disgruntled customer a business does not make. And I'm sure that Archer has built a good enough reputation in the hobby and industry to survive losing this one customer and the few others be may influence.

When I saw this I thought one could build a diorama of a ISIS vehicle or whatever and have a LGB just before impact.
I never once thought, this is glorifying ISIS.

Next time I build a model of the General Lee I'll do it politically correct with a rainbow flag instead of the stars and bars and it will be FABULOUS!!

Agree... "Road Rage" is a classic example of this kind of thinking...
