Outstanding work!
It's funny, the 75mm shell stowage looks just like an open box of .38 pistol ammunition...

Nice Antony. If I remember correctly, if you place the track join under the road wheels, it wont be noticeable.
Karl great work. Fantastic build
Chris, yours is coming along nicely as well

You guys are doing really amazing work!🍺
As for me … Well, I’ve been kinda' MIA for a bit due to health and life crap. Can’t believe it’s been this long!
Anyway, I finally crawled back to the workbench this weekend. And for now, here’s what I have to show for my M21.
Remember original Plans A and B (page 6)? Stripped electrical wire wrapped around Tamiya masking tape. 😡😝 ... Wave off! ✈️ ...
Plan C: "Revisit my winding work and do a better, more uniform job.” … Enter the ‘UTC Ultra Wire’ (Medium Black) redo. ✅
Cheers!🍺

I know exactly what you mean Mike. Hope everythings okay healthwise now. I'd planned to have the day modelling as I'd got a doctors appointment at 08:30 which they'd called me in for (meds review) so I thought great, clear desk lets have a day on something new. Mentioned something in passing, quick examination and now another cancer scare, just a different one this time. Kind of f'd up the day so to speak. I like the way the front end's coming on. Keep the pics coming.

Looks much better now Mike. Sorry to hear about your health. I hope you are on the improve.
You too Karl. Some tough news, but I hope this time it is a scare and not more serious. Fingers crossed for you.

@ Karl, I haven’t had the dreaded “C” word uttered by my doctors, so I can’t even begin to imagine what that scare must feel like. Hopefully, it was only a scare for you.
@ All, Thank you for the many kind words — means a lot. Most of all, thank you for the encouragement and inspiration I find in this campaign.
Speaking of campaign, here’s a little progress. ... Big ‘sticky bomb’ paint day!
M21 sub-assemblies sprayed with Vallejo Olive Drab Primer (73.608).
Cheers!🍺

I trust all goes well for you Mike.
I've been absent from the workbench as well, but in my case I guess it was just plain laziness. Finally got myself to completing a build for another campaign, and now that's done I feel I'm getting my modelling mojo back.
As for my Panzerwerfer 42, here's where it's at now:
Cheers,
Tat

Oooh. I like that Tat. Like it a lot!
Okay, yes, I have been working on my 250/9 amongst the other builds I am involved in. Finished the basic assembly, now just need to clean, prime and lay down some paint.
First up, added the Bosch Headlight and power cable. Dragon incorrectly gives you a Notek one to fit on the fender, when all photos of the 250/9 Neu show it with the Bosch mounted on a braket that extends over the fender. I also added the missing braces and their bolts on the front curved panel. The tool clamps are Aber - workable - and the mirror clamp is scratch built from scrap etch fret.
I also scrapped off the incorrectly positioned tie downs from the sides and added 3 new ones in the position as per a reference pic I am using for the vehicle I am building.
The other side showing the Aber clamps there and the tie downs. I also replaced the 'dots' that Dragon thinks represent bolt heads along the armour plate edge and then added the slot and staple on the top of the trapezoidal stowage box.
I also punched some styrene to make the Side marker post bases and their bolt heads (bolt and nuts under the fenders too) as Dragon doesn't give you those.
Then the rear. Added the Jerry Can rack and door handle that Dragon doesn't provide, as well as replaced the idler adjusters with ones made from Evergreen rod. The end is a tube on the real thing, and Dragon's were a bit thin to drill.
Then I added the tie downs missing from the rear door and just peeking out of the bottom fender, the cable for the Notek convoy light. I was quite surprised that this came from behind the light and down the outside of the vehicle under the door and through the lower hull there, not passed through the stowage boxes. You look at photos, but until you study them, you can miss a lot.
Then the outer turret section. The shields are Aber from an old 234/1 set meant for the Italeri kit that my youngest son now has in his stash (there to remain now he has found girls and cars). These are sooooo much better than the Dragon ones.
Lastly, the turret inner section with the, you guessed it, Aber sight rings fitted.

@ Tat, The Panzerwerfer is looking good!
@ Pete, I love the attention to detail!
FYI: I meant to note this earlier: The very large headlight and stowage mounting points on the fenders are incorrect for the M21.
The headlights should be positioned on either side of the radiator cowling — not on the fenders. This one almost got me, as there is a lack of clarity in Dragon’s instructions for mounting the headlights correctly. Luckily, I managed to erase the unsightly points just before paint. Funny, these are even shown on the very last page — the painting guide! 😝
All said, I still love this kit!
Thanks again for having a look!🍺

Dragon, have unclear and misleading instructions, and items that mysteriously appear in later pictures - Never.....
Nice pick up Mike.

Thanks Pete, Mike -- that sure gives the added boost to get this one past the finish line. Hats off to you guys, as you sure know how to work on those small bits of detail -- keep them coming!

Hi all, Here's another M21 update. There was lots of detail painting and piddling this week.🎨
I think I'm finally done with the winch: Vallejo Dark Rust (70.302).
The 81mm Mortar is ready for installation.
Tires, tracks, and road wheel rubber: Vallejo Dark Rubber (70.306). I'll get around to painting the tracks tomorrow.
Exhaust clamp detail: Vallejo Light Rust (70.301), Oxide Rust Wash (76.506), Transparent Smoke (70.939).
The cab and fighting compartment (ammo racks, radio, .50 cal, etc.) are almost finished as well. I still need to paint the seat cushions, driver and add decals. I just hope my louver star comes out as well as Chris.' 🌟
Cheers!🍺

Installing the tracks turned out to be a tooth-and-nail battle, but they’re on now. Then, late last night, I was MUI (modeling under the influence) haha! I had a little wine earlier … okay, two glasses.🍷🍷 Unable to sleep, I leaped out of bed and decided to do a little creative askewedness 😜 i.e., adjusting the M21's steering. You probably guessed it … there was a SNAP💥 heard 'round the world! … Let’s just say there was a bit of touchup painting in store for today. 👨🏽🎨
Cheers!🍷
