To One and All,
First of all some really nice builds going on. A couple of 'shout-outs'.
Colin - I really like the paint job on your dead Tiger. It definitely looks like it has seen better days!
Anthony - Nice job on the Panther
Gary - I like the restrained, subtle camo on the Tunisian Tiger, nicely done.
Now for my update. I have been working on the Dragon 1/72 Panther D and an added base from HQ72. Following are a few shots of the project rolling into completion.
In order, here are photos of the current state of the model - quite glossy, just before decals. A shot of the painted base with some foliage and then a few shots of the planned placement of the panther on the base. As always, comment are always welcome.
Thanks,
Stephen

All done. Weathering on this is minimal. I wanted to go for a new vehicle look.
I enjoyed everything about this build except for painting the tracks. I see why people don't like DS.

Wow guys,
Some impressive looking models!
Stephen, your Panther looks great! Camo looks awesome. Pretty cool little base, too.
Rory, Love your Jagdpanther! I really like how your wash highlights the wheel and zimmerit detail.
Here's my Tiger update:
I've added fading, streaking, and dust since my last:

To One and All,
I was able to complete the little Panther this weekend. Attached are the pictures that I put into the gallery.
Rory and Gary - nice jobs on the Jagdpanther and Tiger, respectively. The builds in this campaign are really looking good!
Thanks for a fun campaign. Now on to the WWI and Gazala builds!

Gaz - Great job on the Tiger, it is a looking really grubby, dusty and used. Just what I would expect a tank to look like in those conditions.
Stephen - Your vignette looks great! Everything works. The Panther and the base are rocking.
And I agree, back to Gazala (and British Brigade, Dragon 2018, Workhorses) I go

McRunty -
Thanks for the compliment. The model was fun. A little bit of messing with the Dragon-ish issues we all know and love, but added the zimmerit (scribed), changed a few blobs for wire handles and spruced up the base from HQ72 for a nice, little scene. I do enjoy a couple of 1/72 builds a year as a break from the 1/35 stuff. As you mentioned, now on to different campaigns!

Some really great work there Stephen, Rory, and Gary!
Ive been making slow progress on the Tiger I Early Production. I finally got the markings for Otto Carius' first Tiger and started the detail painting. I should be able to wrap this up by the deadline.

Hi Guys,
Time to call this Tiger finished. Since my last update I painted all of the tools and cables, dry brushed most of the edges lightly, applied a matte coat and finally used some metallic pigments by AK. I really like the metallic pigments. They really add to handles and tools in a way that paint cant.
Anyway, here are the photos:
Thanks to Dustin for hosting this great campaign!

That Tiger looks great! If you had some sand colored pigment to dab into the tracks and road wheels it would really pop.
