Looks good Gary,from yours one can certainly see how early on those Tigers could have been mis-identified as olive green tigers.Again great look on the camo.

If I missed it earlier which brand and colors did you use,maybe I'll use that combo for Tiger 131

Thank you. I'd like to be more helpful with the colors, but I mix my own from artist acrylic paints in a tube. I usually find a paint chip by typing the RAL number into Google and the mix till I get acceptably close. I had to add more green yesterday just to be able to see where I was painting. It definitely looks less green in person. I imagine once I get some light weathering done, there should be less difference.

I got my Dragon Panther G for the campaign done.Painted with mostly Vallejo paints and some Tamiya.Filtered and weathered with Mig and AK products.Figure is from Alpline.Thanks for looking.

Just to be different. Some parts have been removed from the sprues and I did glue the engine cylinder banks together but otherwise not started.

No, no, build it if that's what you want to build. I was just one of four dudes building an sFH18 feldhaubitze for the Artillery 2017 campaign, so I can't get worked up about stuff like that. Besides, it is neat to see different approaches to the same (or very close) topic.

Besides, I may do it as an Atlantic bird. How often does that happen?

Paint job is complete on the JagdPanther. Now comes my least favourite part....weathering etc.

Tracks will be added last.

Also if I could go back in time I would assassinate whoever decided to add so many damn road wheels to late war German tanks

I usually do the same with my wheels but I am only doing very light weathering on this as if it had just come off the assembly line.So some washes and very minimal chipping and streaking if any. I am saving all my heavy weathering for a certain other campaign

Wrapping this one up.

Every tank needs a crew so I "figure" it's time to work up a few. The half-body comes from Tamiya's Tank Accessory set...I think. The other two are mostly old Dragon US Tankers from the Gulf War. I switched some bits around. The commander is serious while his loader is more relaxed...and looking at something. Hmm what could it be? The driver is barely seen so I didn't worry about any body armor.
I painted the clothing khaki but changed it to Gunship Gray. The body armor is dark green. Their right shoulder patches are from the spares...I turned some German patches upside down...it changes the whole appearance. The other shoulder patch are thin styrene punch-outs. There's a light gray skull and crossbones I drew witha gray Sharpie but it doesn't show up. I'll probably have to risk messing them up and do them in a darker color at some point.


On to weathering...pretty standard...dust...standard...and so on. The loader's gun is a 50 cal borrowed from a Trumpy JGSDF Commander vehicle. I chose it for its shield. The commander got a SAW mounted on the kit's MG mount.
Tools too large for the stowage bins were mounted on the rear deck. Cao net is a peice of "dyed" surgcal gauze. For dye I used dark greenish brush washings for my acrylic brushes. The visible stowage and fuel and water cans are from the spares. The covered stuff is syrene blocks covered in a tissue-white-glue tarp.
The decals are a mixture. The Jolly Rogers is from an Archer Transfer set. The numbers and "Phantom" name came from the spare decals box.


















And I am calling this one done. A fun little what-if build. And a definite addition to my Cold War Era what-if Privateer line of fighting vehicles.
I've enjoyed this campaign and watching the other builds. Some great work shown.

Well done Alex! Your JP is coming along very nicely Rory, and nice to see a wing thing in the campaign as well. Think I'll stick a fork in my Octopus Tiger, I think if I do much more I'll just bugger it up. Think I'll make a small vignette for it, but not sure if I will put the backwards swastika on the front glacis.
