Thanks Gary!
The cat’s cage was sprayed with Tamiya IJN Sasebo Arsenal Grey (XF-77). To vary the surface a bit I also hit it with slightly lighter Tamiya Neutral Grey (XF-53) highlights in an airbrushed cloud pattern. Unfortunately, this color variation proved to be so subtle it wasn’t even visible!
Oh, well. I tried it again adding a similar cloud pattern with darker Tamiya German Grey (XF-63) shadows.
This worked better, but I wonder if even this will make a difference once the rust effects are applied..?

And now... Rust!
After wetting the entire cage with paint thinner, I applied exaggerated rust effects using Raw Umber, Burnt Umber, and Burnt Sienna Winsor & Newton artist’s oils.
Dr. Deadly may have been an evil genius, but he clearly wasn’t much for maintenance!

Awaiting his fate in Dr. Deadly’s dank laboratory...
our caged cat is definitely NOT happy–
...but perhaps a poorly secured door will be his chance at freedom...!

Due to some fitting issues I have switched to an other quarter scale kit: Tamiya's Jagdtiger
Only a few parts were being removed and assembled.
The metal barrel is provided by Aber.

Assembly has been finished except the grab handles of the rear doors and hatches which I'm about to replace with thin wire.

Suspension is done.
Yesterday I started working on the rear plate and finished the wheels.

In Addition to the Jagdtiger I've started with a Panther G.
The Jagdpanther is out of competition as I'd started with it before the campaign has begun.
Many of the parts even the tiny ones are being dryfitted.
In the meanhwhile I've replaced the grab handles with wire.

Hi fellas, Thought it time to build a big kitty so I'm in with this:
Been working on this for awhile, but finally getting around to posting some pics. This is not gonna be just any kitty
Second attempt at zimm using two part epoxy and a Trumpeter zimm tool
Back end done, added some PE screens.
Got some paint on, wheels are done too
Here's the turret, not your usual color.....
Still need to paint tools/tracks and wash and weather.

Daniel, thank you.
Very interesting PE-job. In particular the tool clamps might be pretty challenging.

Ja, they provide much for the money.
In the meanwhile I've finished the Tiger I
Many of the parts haven't been glued, yet e.g. the head lamps or the exhaust pipes.
It was sometimes tough to build. The Schürzen were a pain to apply properly. Three tiny pins to fix such a large piece with superglue.
But fitting is very good as are the PE meshes by Aber.
The RB Model barrel doesn't fit thus I didn't use it.
Actually a metal barrel isn't necessary at all as the plastic part is fine, either.

I love seeing all the Tigers in this campaign.
Ive added the final touches on Otto Carius' first Tiger, tactical number 213.
I did quite a bit of tonal modulation on this build, which doesn't always show up that well in the pictures. I wanted to depict the Tiger before it got into too much action so I kept the weathering light.
Comments welcome, cant wait to see the rest of the builds.
