Very nice work, guys. I have a future kit I want to do in a burned out state in the future. Looking forward to some direction.

Things have been going slower for me lately and I took a bit of time to work on my Jagdtiger and another couple of figures I'm working on. But I'm onto the roof and then a lot of the main parts are ready for the first paint. I'm still not happy with the kit barrel and will probably be replacing it with a metal one before I'm finished.

I am impressed with Lots of Models, where I bought the kit. My kit was missing the clear sprue, I contacted them and they got me a replacement free of charge to me within about a week. Very happy about that.

Colin, how did you make thoes impact marks on the turret side? They look very good!

Thanks Bryan, I used a Dremel tool with a spherical burr for the initial divot, added some stretched sprue around the edge to get the raised lip and used Tamiya putty thinned with lacquer thinner for the final contours.

Some people are already in primer. Great to see all the kitties chugging along like that. I've been having a little less luck myself. About nine days ago I finally received the upgrades I ordered. Unfortunately I got hit with Bell's Palsy on the same day. Recovery is going fine, but trouble with focussing and having to keep my eyes clean with salves means I can't mess around too much with paint and superglue sticking to my fingers. Still, I'm making a bit of progress here and there.





I was able to do a little bit of fine detailing before the Palsy, so there's a few added weld beads in place. Some of the grilles don't fit too well on the kit, which is a bit of an oversight on Voyager's part. I plan to fix this with some scrap mesh and a couple of resin bolts eventually.



Other jobs I could do in this state included bending larger sections of the photo-etch set and sanding down the hideous casting blocks on the fan covers. The engine deck will need to be fixed a bit to make sure these will fit correctly.



And lastly, there's Hanzl. Hanzl here is comprised of leftover parts and will get the important job of pretending to crew the driver's position. He needs to be placed befor I can glue the hull halves together. I'm planning on adding a headset and throat mic before painting him. It might take a week or two to get there though.

And of course a road wheel, or two, to finish.

Nice work on the panther Benjamin,my Panther is bogged down in roadwheels right now.

Looking good all around. I'm stuck on wheels right now and considering doing zimm. I'm also considering replacing the kit barrel and fenders. Anyone got any recommendations on manufacturers for the barrel and fenders?

Thanks for the positive comments. I'm also bogged down cleaning up the rubber on the road wheels. Hopefully will get the camo pattern sprayed this weekend. None of the 1943 pics (all poor quality b&w) of the captured vehicle really give a clear all around idea of the pattern. So, I'll simply use artistic license and come up with something.

That's a nice clean basecoat. As for the pattern, I guess it may be worth checking out what Bovington has on "131" at the moment. Not sure how accurate it is, but at least there are bound to be lots of high quality images of it out there.

I do have good pics of the Bovington tank. And will use it as a baseline. You can make out a little on the original pics. So, between the two, I should have something decent when done. I'm not too diehard about accuracy. So, I'll be happy with whatever I end up with.

From what I understand the Bovington Tiger 131 is accurately painted. This cannot be said for many museums vehicles.
