Here's what I'll be building for this campaign:

Probably pull some random crates and such out of spares to throw in the bed, and I'm considering scratching a bed cover and frame.

Got a start on my Alan Zis-5, and the first thing I discovered when I pulled the sprues out of the bag was that whomever had this kit first had already cut half the parts from the sprues, so that will make things interesting.
It also seems Alan wants to give DML a run for their money in the screwed-up instructions race:

Is it me, or the purpose of step 4 to create a subassembly that was supposed to have been attached in step 3?
Hope I don't find anything worse than that!

Nice truck.
I am sure that the imperfections of the kit will not stop you

No they won't, but it is not going to be the speed-build I was expecting...

Howdy Y'all
I'm going to try the KISS approach for my build. Here's what I'll build:

I may buy some Black Dog resin AM for this kit.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Progress update on the Zis-5.
All subassemblies ready for priming:

Lots of surgery to get the suspension ready for the Mini-Art wheels (those are absolutely lipstick on a pig, but I refuse to use vinyl on a build if I can avoid it).
Also scraped almost all the out-of-scale wood grain off the bed panels. I left just enough to give the suggestion of boards that had not been thoroughly planed.
Off to the paint barn!

Tom,
That was quite the build. Tell us more, I'm particular interested in the figures and the structure. Nice models.
Take care,

Anyhoo, some of you guys are off to a great start. Keep up the good work !

As always, having a problem downloading the start pics. Well sooner or later I'll get them posted. Meanwhile, I serriously glued the 2 halves together so cutting will go smoother without any off set wobbling. That's when I discovered I glued in the floor 1/4 inch to far forward. Ok about an hour to get it free. Had to cut off part of the back which I had to do anyway so there is no goi g back from here. All's well as I await for it to set up and then the rest of the surgery.

Hi Tom,
I think that the M4 is OK. I checked it now and look a nice theme for this group build.
