That truck turned out great, BogiBg!

Thanks Mark. But I missed overall look. I will do that one again, maybe later on during this campaign.

Finally I started to build the M977.
The first part is painting the inside part of the cab.
Just because it is closed I'm painting it very basic and without weathering at all.

Pre-shading and Russian Green base coat applied.
All the body parts are just dry-fit to the chassis. Next a coat of Future before weathering.

Nice progress here everyone!
This will be my entry for the campaign
MAN 5 to gl of the German Bundeswehr (Revell Germany 1/35)
I drove one of these trucks for 3 years during my time with the 1./PzBtl 83 in Lüneburg during the 1980's Unit doesn't exist anymore, same as the barracks ....
I will need some time before beginning though, because I still have 2 Saab Gripen on my workbench, which I want to finish first. I'll start this end of January/early February.

Welcome to the campaign, Torsten! I’m doing the same kit; but mine is going to be in UN white.

Hi guys. I have done all I can for the moment. Next step is painting, but since the road wheels on Dragon Maultier are different from ones at the picture, I will have to wait until pay day.
So, I will make my third entry.
I will go for this vehicle
No hood and visible engine will be good substitution for lack of plate number and other possible markings data. I am planing to order Plus Model Engine Compartment Resin Detail Set, so I will stall with this build too, soon enough.
So, I have a question... Does ambulance vehicles count as part of logistics? Since I am stuck with Opel, I was thinking to do this one too.
Thanks, in advance...

Thanks guys for the welcome! I'm not often active on Amorama as I build more aircraft.
Richard, I've seen your progress on the MAN. You've got the original box and me the re-release from last year. UN White on this is pretty unusual. I'll try to replicate my faithfull old "Tonner" and must see where I can get the unit markings. My number plate Y-276245 should be no problem.
BogiBg, you're quite busy here I see. 3 entries for a campaign is quite a lot. Once I had 2 entries for an Aeroscale campaign.
Have fun!

I got the cargo bed painted and assembled tonight. I'm letting everything else cure until later in the week.
I know I've got a couple smudges on the outside of the bed. I'll take care of these when I fill a couple small gaps.
Since I'm going to do hairspray chipping of the white top coat that I'm about to apply, I'm debating whether or not the brown and black of the regular NATO camouflage are really necessary. They won't be seen anyway. @Torsten, have you ever seen a 5T LKW in straight green?

Richard, I had my army time between 1985 and 1989 and drove my truck from 1986 onwards (before that I was on a Leopard 2). As far as I remember we still had 1 or 2 older trucks still in that one-tone-camo Gelboliv RAL 6014. I got mine fresh from the depot and it was painted in that three-tone NATO standard camo. As you paint your MAN in UN White all over I believe it's not necessary to have all 3 colours underneath. At home I have a Tankograd book about this MAN. I'll check and let you know.

Richard, I hope this helps. It's only b/w and it's a late prototype, but you see in the beginning the trucks had all just Gelboliv RAL 6014. NATO 3-tone-camo came slowly from 1983 on but only for new trucks or during general inspection in the depot ....
.... and I also found this photo. It's already SFOR in Bosnia 1997 but this MAN still has UN White all over ....
Source for both photos is Tankograd Militärfahrzeug Spezial No. 5027, so I watermarked them.

Is that a camo scheme on the canvas top, or just whitewash peeling very badly from a soft surface?

Looks to be camo to me! I'm going to do mine as all white with some heavy hairspray chipping. Still trying to get caught up on putting the basecoat on everything. I found a handful of little, tiny parts last night that I forgot to prime and paint last weekend.

As I said, I will have to make a pause with my second Opel as I came to the point that there is noting to do until I buy what's needed to finish it.
So, I decided to make two more entry's, if there is no objections.

Hello, Bogi!
Very good work on the "mule".
Good choice of models. I would be interested to see the second one - Sd.Kfz.6.

Looking good BogiBg. You are looking to do 2 more and I haven't started one yet!
