First off let me say I screwed this next step up, I did it the hard way. Hey I made the mistake so you don't have to.

Leave the long pipe off until the transmission is installed.

Does anyone have any info on if there is a cover that goes over the right front shock? One of the Pics Darren posted earlier has what looks like a cover there.

Now for the Sprockets and Final Drive Covers.

The Parts.

There's a seam on each Sprocket that needs clean up.

I tried replicating welds on the front of the Final Drive Armor,
Good ?

I didn't install the Sprockets yet, I glued a piece of Spru to the ends of the mounting pins to make it easier.


Just cut the Sprue off and cap the Sprocket with its cover.

I have a little finished on the Engine Area.

They both go in the same way.

The Idler Adjustors , you can't see them after everything is assembled.

You could round out the hole and make them fully adjustable.

You can't see much of this once the Engine and Radiators are installed.

Coming along nicely, and yes, I'm definitely following this with interest!

You commented on some of the interior colors.

Do a google search for Humbol 115 "Matt Russian Blue" as many consider that nearly a dead-on match for that "Panzer interior grey" color you see on things like the transmissions.

The torsion bars in these seem to have been nearly black.

Keep up the good work! I am looking forward to the next installment!

I used Model Master Gun metal on the Torsion Bars I think logicaly they would have been oiled steel as any paint would have flaked off due to them twisting.
well enough of that, I've been working on the Engine in sub assemblies Here is what I have so far.


I added some Nuts, Don't know if they will be visible .

I assembled the Carbs and installed them on the intake manifold note the small dimples on the top edge of the carbs the fuel line hooks up here and they go to the outside and toward the Fire wall end of the engine.


Some filling is needed on the air cleaners.

Now to paint it all.

I have the Sub Assemblies Painted, Here is how I out them together.

This is the easy way I found to install all the parts, especialy gluing the exhausts to the headers before installing them to the engine block.
I still have some small parts to install, but this is the big part of the work.
Unfortunatly most of it cant be seen once the engine is installed in the hull.

What a nice and clean build. Will have to bookmark this one. never know what the future brings for me in 1/16 scale. Will be following very close. Colours are nice and bright, tip top.
