Dang Donald, at it again !!!
I've enjoyed ALL of your past builds and this one should be even cooler, if that's possible!
Thanks for all the well documented and graphically awesome presentations of past builds. You do good work !

Here is the Start of the build.
The Lower Hull, Be careful with the fit as the parts only go one way.
You will have to drill out the Stop mounts as the holes are too small.

Now to start on the inside.

Here are what I believe are the Inner Parts of the Torsion Bars for the Panther. you have to be careful on which way you place the W1 parts . as shown below.

I'm working on the lower interior framing next.

INTERUPT INTERUPT INTERUPT INTERUPT INTERUPT

I screwed up here this is to warn you when building this kit. the Torsion Bars are too long . You may have to shorten them by about 2mm.I caught this almost too late, Here is what happened.

How is the moulding quality? Still in need of a barrel of putty for all the sinkmarks and lugs the size of indexfingers like in their King/Jagdtiger 1/16?

I haven't had any problems with sink marks sofar, just getting the parts to fit.
The holes in the lower hull have to be drilled out to get the torsion bars to fit all the way in. You have to assemble the inner frame, install all the inner bars to it, then fit the whole shebang into the lower hull while lining up all the pins on the inner bars up with their hole . It's a really tight fit.

I started with the Transmission supports first, if you don't you'll never get them in once the Torsion Bars with the swing arms are installed.

The tabs are too thick and need to be thinned .

Start with the edge near the Bars.

Thank You Very Much Darren, I sure these will be very useful to me and the other builders that are doing the Panther.
Regards.
Donald

Ps. note the Torsion Bars color.
It looks like the transmission is a lighter shade of Grey.

Hi Donald.

Glad they are a help. When I built my Takom Panther I di my transmission in RLM 02 which to my eye looks about right. As it matches the unrestored transmission's lower sides.
