Nice work so far, gents!
For me the end of the schoolyear is near, then I can focus on other things again!

You're welcome Ezra. Glad to help.

Randy, your Sherman Calliope looks wonderful. The stowage and timbers add great realism to the tank.
Thank you William. I appreciate the kind words.

A few more in-progress photos of my 'Screamin' Mimi. Not much more done since last time other than the addition of the external storage items for that "lived in" look. I added some metal chests, some bags, a crate, a couple of buckets, a length of chain, some ration boxes and some tarps I made from tissue paper and the old 50/50 white glue and water mixture technique. I "tied" everything down with hemp colored thread that I used for rope and now I just need to apply a coat or two of Dull-cote to everything so that I can start the weathering process.
Thanks,
Randy

Nice job. Are you going to weather it more than that?

Thank you Ezra. Once everything has dried I am going to start weathering it to "dirty" it all up.

It's been a while since my last update. Yada yada. Here's were I am. First up a general view of the turret showing many of the updates. Italeri jerrycan in scratch built holder. Hmmm needs a strap! It's just placed in the holder right now and there is one on the other side too. Added the tow cables using picture wire. The cable is just placed in the holders right now. Confession time - the tow cables were in the box when I bought it but are not part of the original kit. So I do not know the origin, but I needed to add the tow cables and have nothing else suitable so I used the eyes! Kit supplied side rails and the turret basket were added - with a bit of tweeking. Found some mesh to add - though looking at it now it looks a bit too fine. Guess it is close enough not to warrant replacing - short of mesh options right now. All-in-all a bit tricky as you had to drill the holes yourself. Some were spot on and some left an ugly hole once I was done. Putty to the rescue again.
Now a close up of the searchlight. It was very poor in detail so I added some. Not perfect but waaaay better than what was supplied!
I wanted to show how I tried to add some detail for the cupola interior. Yea, a figure will be in there but it's a large hatch! It is based on the real thing, but a bit approximate!
Lastly we have the turret top. Hatches needed a lot of updates - hinges were really toy-like! Oh notice the 'metal barrel' replacement for the .50 cal. (aka piece of spring wire!) Again, maybe not the best but an upgrade to the original - which was bent! By-the-way, although on the inspiration picture it looks like the loader's hatch is shut I decided to show it open so I could include a fourth figure in there and have someone for the commander in the cupola to interact with.
All in all I need to start paint ops! I may try to get a copy of the Tankograd book to help out. I have a general scheme layout and it looks like there was some variation in the paint apps, but some more pics would also help. Anyway I'm weird like that - I like reading techy stuff on armored vehicles!

@Nick, that's some mad detailing skills you got there on that M60!
@Ezra, nice job on that tiny halftrack!
For my own tribute I managed to "build the wall" and was able to set the suspension arms as a result, so it's off to the paint shop next!

Superb work Guts.
Randy the Calliope is looking fantastic.
Ezra, nice little 250 there. The white wash is a nice touch.
Nick, the detailing work is simply stunning.
Tom, good to see this one starting to come together. Did you find your 'old lady'?
Rob and Lap Man, welcome. That B 17 was one I always wanted when I built aircraft, that and the Tamiya Lancaster....

Thank you Peter. I appreciate the kind comment. I had to order some Dull-cote since I am out, so while I am waiting for it to arrive, I have decided to do a little extra work and add a few more things to it such as a tow cable and maybe a little more storage.
How is the Horch coming along?
Thanks again,
Randy

Slower than snail pace Randy.
I'm finishing off a couple of others before I get back to it - one in weathering now, the other 75% through the build due to scratch building replacement parts. Deadlines on this build and the 20/20 one I am hosting are the same day, but it is bad form not to meet your own build's finish line!!! I will be back on the Horch later next week.

Thanks Peter, but I have been here for awhile.
Working on some small details for the P-61 cockpit, I took some small wire and dipped the ends in some 5 min. epoxy to make some levers. The instruments are just a white base coat under black and scratched with a needle.
Cheers Rob.

Hi Pete, I'm going with the fig from the Miniart German Civilians set. Not exactly "pre-1995" as I'd wanted, but the set was on the shelf...

Going to try to finish the M2 Bradly in the next few days, had some trouble with my first mud effects, so I had to cover it with a heavy coat of mud ( still looks realistic.) So keep an eye out for the finished model for the next four or five days!

The M730A1 Chaparral air defense system is almost done.
I've gotta do a little touch-up on the paint then clear-coat it and do a few decals.
Should have it done later this coming week.
