Nice one Rory. I missed out on grabbing that when it was available and have regretted it ever since. Maybe Takom will release it again one day..

First update of my build. I have the drivers position built and painted. Nothing overly difficult here.

I didn't go to crazy with painting and weathering etc because SANDF vehicles tend to have thick green tinted ballistic glass installed so everything will be seen through that.
Windscreen test fitted into place.

At this point I need to go back and tidy it up just a bit and then everything will be glued down and masked.

Good start Rory. I guess those windows let you see a lot of the interior.

G6 Rhino is built, masked and ready for paint. This really went together nicely. Just make sure to read and understand the instructions.

Nice job, Rory!
I've got to get some more work done on my 2S1.

Looks great, Rory!
A bit of progress on my 105mm waffentrager.
I think Trumpeter wanted the tracks to be workable tracks with individual track links and individual pins for each track link. However, even trying hard to make this work I have had to give it up.
In the end I have had to just glue the links together and then adding the pins afterwards. Quite complicated and I do not feel the detail level is improved.
The rest of the kit is great so far and includes a nice aluminium barrel and some PE where it makes sense.
More to follow soon

I'm definitely jealous Rory.
Jesper, Looking good. I have never built the Trumpeter tracks, but Modelkasten are similar. I have found the MK ones tedious, but not problematic. At least they look great on.

Peter, some working tracks are good, but these are not it. Tracks are now on on both sides of the kit, but are still in the process of adding the last track pins

A little more progress on my howitzer waffentrager. Except for the tracks a very nice kit with great details and good fit.

Calling the G6 Rhino done. This was a great build. Went together really well and I am happy with how it came out. As predicted, very little of the drivers position is visible through the green tinted glass.

The gun, turret and stabilized supports are movable so the kit can be posed in travel or firing position.

And lastly just to show how big this vehicle is I posed it next to my ODS M1A1. Its a beast!

Thank you GulfWarrior for running the campaign!

What a beast, Rory. Size does matter 😉
You did an excellent job on this unusual model. Congrats on finishing!
