There are two kinds of books I purchase. The first are technical manuals which concentrate on a specific vehicle or its variants. The second category, could best be described as 'Docu-books', look at a vehicle within the context of its 'field' service. In other words, books which reproduce contemporary photographs which are vital to see the little details of stowage and field modification which are a modeller's 'bread and butter'. This new book from Concord Pubications is undoubtedly in the second category.
It is a moot point as to whether any conflict in history has been as well-documented as Operation Iraqi Freedom. Many books continue to be published covering all aspects of the war and interest in modelling vehicles of the conflict continues to grow apace. With this new book, it is unlikely if the intention of Concord was to break new ground, but it was clearly their intention to publish a book of direct use to modellers....
