The last year has seen a veritable 'gridlock' from a number of manufacturers of light vehicles - particularly staff cars. Good as this has undoubtedly been, there's still a real need for passengers and drivers. Now, Masterbox have mailed us images of their latest 1/35th Scale Works-in-Progress which will go along way in addressing the 'problem'.
The first of the New, In-Progress Sets is:
MB 35106 -Where are the damned roads?
Once again, Styrene and in 1/35th scale. The 5 figures (and a dog), naturally enough, will be sold WITHOUT the car. The vehicle in the images is a NEW release (beginning of November 2011); MB 35101 - German Staff Car, Type 170 V, Kuebelwagen, Fruehere Ausfuehrung, 1936,
Again, Masterbox are developing a 'Diorama.in-a-Box' - an aspect of the company's release policy which has gained them a great deal of attention. Although the figures are specifically designed to interact together they'll be equally useful used seperately in other settings and with other vehicles. A lot of potential is this set and definitely one which has been needed.
In addition to the above set (images below), yet another set is under development with the provisional title of:
MB 3570 - Passengers
This will be a good complement to the first, being a little more 'generic' in nature - allowing even more possibilities.
Finally, we've just had some images of a third set, these can be seen below...
Once again, our thanks to Masterbox Ltd. for the Update!
