Nice, I think this series will be pretty popular among modelers... Great work Vladi, you always seem to find something new for your figures. Mario

This is Vladi's best set yet. The poses are dynamic and very well done. As always, his attention to detail sets his figure kits apart from others on the market. Take notice of the details of the lightweight rucksacks with the proper frames, shoulder straps, and attached equipment. The 5 quart bladder canteen has the proper details and is actually in scale with the other equipment. The action of the one Soldier activating the quick release of his left shoulder strap is spot on. The modeler will have to use some metal foil or paper strips to make the lower webbing for the shoulder straps and the webbing that attaches the shoulder straps to the top of the ruck frames which is good as that will be more detailed. If you look closely, the left shoulder strap is already moving up to the shoulder away from the other part of the quick release due to the weight of the rucksack. Excellent attention to detail indeed. Great work, Vladi! Cheers, James

I love the guy with the shotgun !! Will there be a series of them ? Last question, is it possible to paint them in camo, or to depict special forces ? Best, Julien

Merci beacoup Julien! It`s first set from series like previous Marines series. I`m not sure about camo for this figure as infantryman, but you can make ERDL camo for some special forces (for example ranger or SEAL). This case you must delete or change lightweight rucksack and helmet and also add roll-up or roll-down sleeves. Special forces never cut theit sleeves cause it is n`t good solution for jungle raids. Anyway, if you`ll be need more info, please, write me e-mail! Vladi

Hello Julien... about the cammo utilities, the marines used then beginning the year 1968 ... The Osprey book "US Marines in Vietnam" had some pictures of 9th of Marines in operation "Demwey Canyon" in the frontier with Laos with full cammo fatigues in 1969 (no special forces, just regular infantry marines). As long as I know, the cammo fatigues in the Army in Vietnam were a special item, so the were reserved to LRRPs, special forces, aero rifle plattoons of Air cavalry Trops, and so ... So you cant do regular marines infantry with cammo fatigues in 1969 in Vietnam (I believe the equipment of army and marines were basically the same). Happy modelling ””” Santiago Tre
