Shame his pants are taped up....good for SF but not common for Infantry at the time!

Hi Vladi, great Figure and a perfect addition to the other ones. Also as forward scout in fierce positon ready for any contact. This kind of "Action" Figures is highly needed. Now one firering an LAW rocket launcher and an firering rifleman in kneeling positon please ;-). Great Figure at all. Many thanks Vladi. I have read there will be an seperate head included for use as SEAL, etc. That is a nice additon. Save me a hornet head ;-).

Thanks friends! There are some photos of taped trousers for inspiration! :-)

Very nice adaption from the Photo. You captured the look of that taped trousers really great like in your U.S. Army Sniper Figure set. A Figure like the one in the link from First Legion but in 1/35 scale would be great too ;-) kneeling Soldier

We used to blouse our pant legs like that sometimes and you don't need tape. You just have to wrap the excess cloth very snugly around your leg and then lace up your boots tightly. In my later years in the Army, the uniform regs specified that will not be done. Only poorly disciplined units looked like that in the say...late 80s and 90s. J

Another excellent figure to use in my dioramas. I really like seeing figures who are in the act of shooting M16s with the ejection port covers open. Excellent attention to detail on Vladi's part. Keep up the great work. If the taped trousers are a problem for people, a little putty can do wonders and then there is no longer a taped trouser. Jerry, the taping of the trousers for this figure is just under the knee to keep the leeches from crawling up your legs. I think the method you are talking about is a method of blousing the boots. I remember seeing Soldiers doing that in the late 80's and 90's. Since I was in the Marine Corps at the time, I used blousing bands except when I was in the field. When we were in the field we tucked our trousers into our boots in my unit. Cheers, James

Ah yes, I should have looked closer the first time. You are of course, correct. I suppose it was the old "NCO" in me seeing the old pet peeve uniform violation. Reminded me of the legions of remfs walking around like a quasi-military formation. J

Hey Jerry, That used to get me rialed up when I would see Soldiers with their trousers wrapped like that into their boots. Tucking the trousers in is one thing, but that whole wrapping around the leg thing looked stupid. I was an Army brat and saw a little bit of it but the practice did not seem to take hold in a large scale until the late '80s. When I switched over to the Army after serving 8 years in the Marines and saw a bunch of REMFs and Pogues with their trousers like that, it drove me bonkers. Now we have to deal with Soldiers not blousing above the 8th eyelet. Cheers, James
