The pose looks strange to me as someone who has fired a few dozen rounds through an M19, and the trigger unit is missing(maybe only Canadian ones had that?) The weapon would work this way but we were taught to have the gunner load it himself. The left hand would be higher up the barrel and the gunner would use the black line that ran the length of the barrel to line up the shot. No need for the ammo carrier to get his head anywhere near that muzzle... Great sculpt though.

Hi Vladimir, very nice looking set. I really like the posses and each wrinkle in the uniforms helps them stand out. Will be a pleasant set for painting. Will have to order a set. Could even work as a stand alone dio, but knowing me I'll need more grunts to add. Very well done set.

In the main left picture you can see the trigger between the base and the bottom of the tube. The two right hand pictures are firing the weapon as I described,the main one may be as you would return the loading hand to the barrel as you dropped the round. Certainly the weapon only takes one hand to support as your fire and if you are drop firing instead of trigger firing, only the guy holding the barrel knows if its lined up and time to drop.

Looks like the top left photo is the Brit 2 inch mortar. Yes it has a trigger and a white aiming line along the barrel. Possible Aus troops in Vietnam ?

Pongo_Arm, U.S. SOP is the gunner holds the mortar and the loader drops the round, at least that's the way I did it in 1999.
