The Chinese AfterMarket company, LionRoar, has just announced a series of interesting (an innovative) update sets in 1/35th scale:
Nothing quite as spectacular as the recent announcements (the M2 Update set, for example) but a series of very practical updates and improvements for a variety of subjects:

LAM025 - Weld Marks for AFVs

LAM035 - Sd. Kfz. 7 Metal Mesh (for Tamiya)

LAM043 - U.S. Army 12.7mm Machine Gun Ammo/Caisson

LAM044 - SdKfz 251 Full Structure Antiskid Floor (for AFV Club)

LAM045 - SdKfz 251 Full Structure Antiskid Floor (for Dragon)

LNR LAM046 - Flak 30/38 20mm Anti-Aircraft Gun Ammo/Shell

LAM047 - U.S. Army 12.7mm Machine Gun Ammo/Shell

Tell you what Jim, the ammo and box looks great and even the welds could be handy, although moreso a few years back

Hi, either PE set is named incorrectly or pics are wrong but that PE set LAM035 does not correlate with pics. IIRC, there IS another PE set for Tamiya Sdkfz 7 side mesh. Br, Niko

Yep. My thoughts exactly - now the manufacturers are (virtually) all including this as 'standard' it's less useful than a few years back. Of course, there are still a lot of older kits out there...

Jim, The .50 cal ammo belts and rounds look like a real exercise in patience but will definitely provide that 3-D quality for those needing it for sure. The PE weld lines are a first? Are they all standard width on the frets or does the set provide different widths/lengths depending?

I have the weld beads. They do look nice, and will probably fill the need especially on older kits. (Haven't used them yet, so can't comment on how they work out or fit though.) It's nice to see the .50's come with a box that they will fit in, as the Mission Models ones (as nice as they are) seem to be a hair too long to fit in any other maunufactures photo etched boxes.

Part makes weld lines in PE as well...different scale thicknesses I have a few of their sets, actually I'm using some on my Italeri Elefant/Ferdinand backdate project....quite nice but they're chevron shaped, the welds on the ferdinand were straight type. I wish LionRoar released the weld sets when I started the project...would look better on my model. Regards, Paul
