Some New images, courtesy of Masterbox Ltd. of another of their interesting WIPs.This time a variation on a theme we showcased a week or two ago...
Even after several years covering New releases for the Site and posting more News reports than I care to remember, when an e-mail arrives from Masterbox, I still manage to get a nice litle 'jolt' knowing that it's going to be something innovative.

With a careful eye on what modelers ACTUALLY want to see in styrene rather than 'creating' a demand, Masterbox have established themselves amongst the elite of figure manufacturers.

The company has shown that figures can be good AND animated, has shown that even well-covered subjects can be given a new 'spin' and that commercially, it makes sense to link a series of releases. They also understand that not everyone can afford resin figures (good though, the majority are).

Here then, are a series of New images from Masterbox, once again featuring an in-progress set which screams with potential.

The working title for the new set is simple 3582 - European Civilians WW II era however, the approach has been very different. Rather than doing a 'generic' set with some 'one-size fits all' rural figures, the company is developing two different styles of figures - one of Eastern Europeans (Ukraine, Russia, Bielorussia etc. etc.), the other of Western Europeans (France, Belgium, Holland etc.). Added to that are a couple of cows and the perfect point of interest for a Vignette or Diorama is created.

Once again, our thanks to our friends at Masterbox for the Update!

Ah, more cows great Wot no goats or sheep , all we every get are more cows This is an excellent looking set or set of very useable figures and animals. With camels and donkeys for their desert sets things are looking good for our 4 legged friends. Al

All they do are cows---- what about us poor sheep farmers, and goat herders, and chicken farmers? Actually I think they are great looking sets, and a nice change of pace.

Alan, that was my thought exactly. Masterbox is rapidly becoming my favorite model producing company. I don't know who their Concepts Mgr. is, but they're doing a super job! cheers, Mike

Masterbox is really amazing. They keep working on ways to get my money with their innovation and workmanship. I would bet goats or donkeys or other farmyard animals will be along soon. Soldiers gathering eggs and a family caring for their chickens. I think they would make a Filipino selling bananas or Italian street kids if there was a little interest expressed.

Thanks, Pat. I had forgotten about that set. No wonder the idea seemed familiar. So maybe some Pacific Islander natives or North African merchants aren't so far off.
