Marci, Samuel, has the barrel for T34 extended diameter on the end or is it smooth in your kits?

I'm not sure I know what you mean, but I do know that it has what looks like a band around the very tip. I am using Dragon's T-34/76 while Marcin is using their German T-34 kit, so they could be different.

Mine has the band on the tip too.

Hey, Marcin! I finally managed to upload one of my images into the official gallery. What do I do, now? Shall I clear out my earlier photo host entry and resubmit from the gallery? Thanks for your help and patience. Best regards, Dave

Dave, you don't have to do that. Many of us upload one or two pics to Kitmaker's gallery and then more pictures to other hosting server to share their work here on forums.
Your pic in campaign's gallery will be a proof that you finished campaign and after it ends people will be able to see all entries in one place. Besides it's easier for campaign's leader to check in one place who earned the ribbon than look for pics all over the site.

Cool looking vehicles piling up, Marcin I like your T-34 a lot!

I have enlisted for this campaign, but the way things are going, I think I'll have to drop out. Sorry for abandoning you guys, but you know how life can get you in a tight corner at times... I wish days were 30 hours instead of 24.

I'm thinking about throwing my hat into the ring and doing my Sturer Emil in winter camo.

I've been thinking about doing a diorama of this scene for a long time:

getting the Sturer Emil done would be a good step in that direction, so I just might try for it.

I am going to see how much I get done on other campaigns first before I commit though...

Thanks Emre. I know what you mean about lack of time. I probably won't be even able to start anything for Medic campaign

Excellent picture, Vance. That was a new one to me.

I agree it could form the basis for an great diorama.

Well some good news and some bad news on my project.

The good news is I worked on the tracks (both spare ones on the tank and the fruils) which now look less rusty/much better. I also painted the last detail such as the inside of the commander's hatch.

Things went bad however with the new schurzen. I think something is wrong with the primer I used as the paint didn't attach very well and just came of the schurzen as I touched it. So, stripped the schurzen of paint, cleaned them and I hope to find some time soon to spray them with primer.

Oh well guess it's part of the hobby

Time to dig out the digital camera, finished my T34 used a dirty white instead of the flat white, not sure I like the results, have to get a couple of pictures up here and see what you all think.

Martin - try sanding these brass plates a little. I had same problem with bigger photoetched parts (the bigger the surface the harder the painting...) after few seconds of work with delicate sanding paper and the surface is much better for painting (just make it matt).

Arif,
Nice shading! I'm happy to see every picture of T34 - I'm going to build one in 1/16 scale for Eastern Front Campaign and I'm trying to find as many tips on every picture of these tanks and models as I can.

Hi mate

Thanks, but I did this already the first time. Think it is the quality of the primer. It's Vallejo which I really like but there seems to be something wrong with this bottle. Mixture doesn't look normal, doesn't give the normal results!

Second primer attempt on skirts again a disaster

Going to buy new primer this week and make sure the skirts are clean etc, but I'm getting a bit tired of them now. Just want to get the ... things finished and start on the white wash

hey,
heres my entry into this White-Wash Campaign.Tamiya's classic Sd.Kdz.7 8ton Semi-track w/ quad Flak, still alot of fun to build, despite it's age, build OOB,painted ,standard ,Dunkelgrau ,the white wash was applied by hand, using the dry brush tech, then lighter shades of Dunkelgrau, the light areas of rust are pastel chalks.

personally,I think I went a little overboard on the windshield

Hi Andrzej. Funny, I was planning on doing the exact same thing. What version do you have? I assume it is one of the Trumpeter kits?
Have you seen Trumpeter released a crew man to do along with the kit. Looks good and would help add some "scale" to the tank.

Excellent Sd.Kfz, Mayer! I can see that you live up to your profile title of "Flakgunner"

The job on the whitewash looks very good. Sort of white wash in late winter just before the snow starts to disappear.
The front wind screen seems to be very brownish dirty. Would it not be more appropriate if it was more white as snow or frost? If everything is froozen very little dirt will make it to the wind screen.

Thanks for participating

Okay Uploaded my contributions: I just had to try the Dragon T-34/76 Paint Scheme on the box cover. Pretty decent, but I couldn't find any reference photos that shows the demarkation between the rut pattern and the white wash, so I made it rather a hard line.

The other is just an old Panzer that needed some White wash on it for a diorama I did.
