Looking very good! I've done some work on the boom yesterday evening. Although there's little to nothing wrong with the stowage boxes and other stuff from the Italeri kit, the boom parts have quite a lot of pin marks and nasty seams. Done some sanding and filling, but not done yet...
However progress is pretty good concerning I'm working on my final thesis for my study, so I have only limited time. Almost graduated though, with some weeks of holiday afterwarts to spend on fun things like modelling!

Andrzej

That's fantastic Andrzej! Congratulations!
I just enlisted in this campaign. I'll decide later today which of my shermans to build.

Progress on my 1/72 Sherman has been steady but slow. The suspension is finally painted and mostly weathered and the rest of the body is in progress. I am also starting some detailing and am rather proud of the way the engine deck grill turned out. It took quite a bit of trial and error to get the correct mix for the wash that was applied there.
It's funny how simple things can mean a lot to one. Through a freak of total luck I found the half of the .50 Cal handle that flew off while trying to mate it to the other half. I guess that my modelling guardian spirit was watching over me. As I type this the two halves are drying and attached to the machine gun.
Good fortune to all on their builds!

High all,
Back from a weekend of relaxing in Luxembourgh. Even seen a M4A1 76 HVSS in the town of Diekirch. where I also visited the war museum. Lots of nice stuff like a Hetzer, RSO, PAK40, Wiesel etc.
Anyway, got to make up some time lost for my internship assignment, hopefully some modelling on my M32 this week again.

hey,
Lousy weather this past weekend, allowed me to make good progress with my M32B3,most time consuming ,where those d@# indy tracks by DML.
within the next few days, more supplies/cargo will be added, make some tarps, decals put in place, pin washes, drybrushing, and weathering with pastels, haven't decided if I'am going to muddy it up yet,if I do,it won't be much.

JAN: It is looking good cant wait to see it with tracks and weathering.
JOE: The M32 is massive where will you park it? I found the Westrim Crafts cable that you described it is a great addition to the tool box. Your photos have been so informitive and I would like to know how you have enough file room on your account. I have just been told about Photo Bucket but have not learned how to transfer photos yet. Anyway really good progress on your build, just waiting to see it finished.
ANTHONY: The Firefly looks nice, I like the way you put the rust on your tracks and the weathering is dusty just how I like them. The stowage adds a nice accent to the model.
Great models guys my hat is off to all three.

@ Joe: again nice progress on your M32!
@ Anthony: Nice Firefly. Got to try one of those '48ths as well
Little update on my M32. I had some time left yesterday evening so I did some work again. Actually 'only' 1 thing: removing seams and pin marks from the boom. Sanding, sanding and again sanding. Looks ok now, if I missed any seams I will probably spot them after spraying primer on it, and remove them then.
Boom is also assembled now. Next step: attachment points on the hull!

hey,
Thanks Martin, made good progress again ,tow cable has been rigged, decals are in place, pin wash and dry brushing ,pretty much finished, little weathering left do to,plus Iam looking threw the bins, for more items ,to throw on top,and have to make the assorted tarps yet. I did realize there really wasn't enough upper space for carrying extra fuel cans,so I scratch built a shelf on the rear.
Robert,I realized their isnt enough room on kitmaker to store all of my pics, and would have to delete some ,in order to add more, mainly for this campaign,so I opened a account on photobucket, super easy!,but the photo's from our little digital camera need to be downloaded on to the computer first, then you can transfer them onto photobucket, one thing to remember,is that when your ready to transfer, theirs a box that allows you to select the pic size,I use 800x600,and you need to select this box before you actually transfer. The silver cord by Westrim is real nice and easy to work with, one spool,at 75 yards will last a life time!
Anthony, your Firefly turned out real nice! I started building armor in 1/48,some 30 years ago, buying up everything in site,Bandai's,Monogram,Aurora, etc;but wasn't very popular, and soon disappeared.Glad to see it coming back, but I ended up selling/trading all of my unbuilt's (50+),and Iam to involved with 1/35,to change

@ Joe and all the others who know something about the M32 ARV.
I have a little bit of trouble with the attachment of the boom to the hull. When the boom is placed forward like on Joe his M32 on the pic below, the large part of the left side of the boom (also visible on the pic in the front) hits the front of the hull:
Should this part be slightly angled to the outside so that it doesn't hit the front armour

Hi mates!
It's highly motivating to see all the models you're building! Great work mates!
My progress is incredibly slow right now - my tiny son is consuming all my time and strength righ now .
Anyway - disaster happened to my M4... after laying the decals and applying decal stretching solution whole paint under the decals got bubled and went off... Fortunately it happended only on one side - simetrical signs on other side are OK (strange thing...).
Since Dragon provided markings for more than just one tank I've managed to recreate the name of the tanks (and other markings) with cut decals for other vehicles - it's almos like new now .
I hope to post some pics soon.
Take care!
Andrzej

Hey Martin,
That part is right up against the side of the hull, you'll be fine as long as it doesnt hit/rest on the front plate, the "bracket" has to line up with the extension (tear shaped)on the drive sprocket ,thats what raises the boom, when the short cable is attached.

You can join the campaign with your build.
Wow, A lot is going on in the thread. I'm amazed with progress of your work. Nice work guys!
I'm about to start weathering this weekend as painting and applying decals went without bigger problems. I hope to finish my Firefly by the end of the month so I could move on to Sd.Kfz 232 6 Rad for Blitzkrieg campaign.

Hi all,
Little bit of progress on the M32. Currently working on the boom attachments. Similar to what Joe has done I've made some new attachment points from plastic sheet. I drilled out the boom and the attachment points so the boom can be fitted later (so that it can be painted as subassembly). Also helps me to fit the boom right.
Tank has got a bit dusty from all the sanding & stuff
