@Jan - You're a brave man working in 1/72. I understand space limitations thou. Keep it up!
@Andy - I checked out your build log. LAV's look'n good.
@Mike - Yeah, the larger pieces came from the Trumpeter kit. The smaller stuff is from the Tamiya US Modern Equipment set. Highly recommended.

Also creating some camo net with bandages and tea.
After that the antennas and it's done!!

Hello All,
My painting is progressing nicely, I've gotten the base coat done and have started on painting the stowage. I've ordered a bunch of Canadian markings from Archer and once applied I will start the weathering process.

Robert, don't shelve the Stryker just yet. Check your spare parts box for something to substitute for lights. I checked my books to see if the versions with slat armor removed them but they show some that have extensions to see over the slats. As far as the mirror arm I think if you stretch some sprue you can get pretty close and then model the mirror in the folded down position. You have a carpet monster as well? I don't know how many parts that thing/monster has taken over the years but it is alot. They should start a forum on parts lost to the carpet monster and other weird dissapearing acts.

It's coming on.... the main portions are put together and base painting done. Vision blocks installed and started weathering from the ground up....
All the detailing bits (tools, lights, storage) still to be done. I'll be using some of the MRE, water & Coke box sheets that came with the Trumpeter 1127 kit.

Giovanni, nice Stryker. Great use of accessories. I especially like how you worked in the cable and made it loose. What is the white and black rope/wire on each side of the vehicle? Are they for steps?

sean, how do you like the 1128 build so far? I want to get the kit, just wondering how it all fits together.
It's great. Very crisp molding and perfect fits on almost every thing. The only difficult part was attaching the gun to the turret once both were made up. Needed a bit of pressure and wriggle room to get it to fit, but because the gun moves you can't apply the pressure. Got it in the end. I hope to borrow a decent digital camera (rather than my phone) and be able to post some decent pics.
Cheers,
Sean

Here's mine. I'm still working on some few stuff.
I'm also working on a second one but I don't think I can finish it before the deadline.

Norm,
Nice looking build. I like your weathering. I'm in the process of painting and weathering at the moment. I just got through painting most of the onboard stowage. My next task is to start the weather process on the lower suspension.

Thanks Andy. I'm in the process of painting the rest of the stowage. I'm also thinking of scratchbuilding a spent cartridge basket.

What technique did you use on the vision blocks? They look great from the distance.
