hi scott
i dont know much about humvees but i like this one of yours
it looks well set out to me
ive been reading up on ww2 wheeled vehicles and i go on to warwheels a lot
as i want to build some ww2 wheeled whatifs
i think after seeing your build id like to do some modern stuff and to get a few humvee kits as a start
i dont know much about them or what kits are available but i xcould start with a cheap one first i suppose and take it from there
keep up the good work
regards andrew

Gentlemen, My first post on here after reading from the beginning. Some very imaginative stuff, and the paint work and camo is great!
When I signed up for this campaign I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
In '87 as I was getting ready to leave the Army, the Sgt. York ADS was well on its way to becoming extinct.
It really only had 3 very minor problems:
1. Corruption in the contract awards.
2. Some dummied range tests with a gun/tracking system that didn't know whether to scratch its watch or wind its butt.
3. A Death Star-looking turret... on top of a tank chassis from the early 60's... that couldn't keep up with a deuce & 1/2.
Seemed like easy problems to solve. So I was buying kits cheap in the PX and ran across the Tamiya kits for the York and Abrams. I thought, combine them and that's one problem solved (and it looks a lot less goofy). And now, 23 years later, I actually have a reason to build them.
So that's what I planned to show tonight but I can't upload because there's something wrong with the Galleries. Anyway, I got excited about it this weekend and assembled (read "Slammed") the Abrams hull and the Sgt. York turret together, then cut a piece to mate them. Now I'm modifying the turret for more firepower.

I´m sorry to say this fellow campaign members but my project will not be finished in time.... I got stuck in painting stage and lost my motivation, because I couldn´t make my mind about colours and camo scheme.
Plus there has been other campaigns going on at same time, that have taken my attention.. Have to admit, I was too greedy. Also there has been personal issues, health related and work related reasons, that made me fail on my most important campaign. I just overestimated my spare time for all these campaigns. My E-25 will be finished during this year but not in time for this campaign.

I have the model ready as well as the figures and I've already started to build diorama but I don't think I can finish the diorama in time... We will see, I'll do my best to have everything finished in time.

Got my E-25 80% painted but tracks, wheels and small parts are not ready. I would need atleast one month extension to make it for this campaign but I think it wouldn´t be fair to others, who have made it in time.

I've been remiss on this campaign, no other excuses -- so that means I won't make it to the deadline. Have de-enlisted, which I guess is the proper (?) way to go. Cheers to the builds and all the participants. Tat

Sadly me too.
Too many little detail parts to complete and a paint job away from finishing.
As it is now.

It is 1944. After several years of search after supernatural Wunderwaffe Ahnenerbe finally succeeds. One of archeological digs close to the ruins of Belmont castle in Palestine which is recently dominated by victorious general Paulus and his VI Army revealed mysterious artifact. Plates covered by strange markings, tools of unknown use and one small book covered with blood stains describing short ritual of summoning.
Hitler is pleased. He assigns Himmler to conduct the ritual that (if the translation is correct) will summon supernatural army absolutely obedient to the Führer.
The ritual neither goes right nor is the new army obedient to Hitler’s will. Being treated as a symbol for the dark forces he is not able to command them.
III Reich has new enemy that quickly spread all around the Europe. There is a vast need for new weapon types and troops specialized in fighting new opponent.
Wehrmacht organizes Hexen-Jäger troops (Witch Hunters) . Their equipment must be adjusted to new enemies’ abilities and weakness.
One of most favorite HxJ vehicles is new version of old good Hannomag: SdKfz 251/25 mitt Schwere Pneumatische Pflockkanone „Espe“ und Weihwasser Düsen – transporter equipped with infrared equipment, pneumatic stake gun “Asp” and holy water cannons.
I hope you like this small conversion
I started building diorama for this vehicle but I simply don’t have enough time to build as fast as I used to before my son was born: D.
Here are the troops (HxJ)
And here is one of their enemies.
Thanks for great campaign that made me built something different for once .
Andrzej

Well everyone it looks like we are drawing to a close on this one. After a whole year of fantastic builds you have all produced some out standing models, there are simply to many to pick my highlights.
I would just like to say i big thank you to you all for supporting this campaign over the last year, this was my first campaign as a leader and i hope you all think i did a good job of it? maybe some time in the not to distant future we can run another "WHAT IF" campaign i am sure some of you still have some ideas up your sleeves?
For everyone that did not complete there build, it is understandable that life gets in the way and we do not always have time to do the things we would like to, but thank you for your efforts guys there still appreciated all the same .
Well there is not much left to say except thank you and have a few on me guys you earned them!

My compliments to your camo pattern Kimmo -- I like it! Gives me another idea on the E-series that's in the stash. Was it free-hand or did you mask it in some form? Cheers -- Tat

Thanks Tat for your compliment. Magic word is Microscale Micromask applied with brush and removed with water and toothbrush. Try that camo pattern with free hand and you´ll find yourself in asylum..
For the record: camo is handpainted with brush.

Yep, one'll go crazy doing that using tape.
Thanks Kimmo -- learned something new then. Hmmm... I could also use that for Italian camo as well. Better check if it can be bought locally.
Cheers -- Tat

Well, since I started my Bobcat II about 2 months before the What-if campaign officially started, I have this one to submit. Finished this one on 29 May. Saab 20 of 13 Sqn, Swedish Air Force:
