Hello friends!
Nice works here!. Well, three days ago I started my kit, Sturmhaubitze 42 F-F8 of Dragon, 1/35. Now the following step is the "Ostketten" tracks. This is near "Out of Box", I added only the Gun Barrel of Jordi Rubio. Here some pics.

Rodolfo

[quote]Fiddling with my Brummbar, mostly interior PE parts. Boy, it's slow Also made or redid some Zimmerit on the outside.
The interior looks spectacular. Have you considered making it a cut-away? Keep on building.

Aloha All,
I just enlisted in this campaign. I think I can finish in time. I will be building Tamiya's Marder III in 1/35th scale out of the box.

Thanks, Matt. I've decided to make the roof fixed, as it has plenty holes to peep through and leaves place for a bit of imagination what could be inside
Rodolfo: Nice StuH you have, but it seems you will have to put decent amount of putty on the front glacis sides. Or is it a dry fit?

I just saw this campaign and joined. Below are pics of my Revell 1/76 Wespe from WIP to finished.
Attaching the vinyl track bands, adding some sag to them:
adding headset to the radio:
the gun assembly:
After painting and adding camouflage (based on several pictures off the internet.)
Hopefully I can do another axis armor before the campaign closes in October.

Thanks for your comments friend. Regarding your question, it will not be necessary to add putty because will be covered with the side plate.
Here are more pics with the German Grey of Tamiya as base.
The follow step: adding the white for the invernal version.
Regards,
Rodolfo

Nice StuH you have there Rodolfo. Which AM tracks would you be using for the Osketten?
I've been slow on my project lately. Just did initial weathering on the roadwheels and tracks. Will be putting up the schurzen then proceed to paint the upper hull.
Cheers,
Tat

Thanks Rodolfo -- still a lot more work to get mine done.
Are you building DML 9028? If so then I believe the kit-supplied tracks are actually winterketten. Bought the kit as well as the box top said ostketten. Been looking for ostkettens in plastic as the resin ones are quite expensive. Hope some of the manufacturers could make it available soon.
Nonetheless, the winterkettens should look quite good on your build. Most appropriate as well since you have winter camo/whitewash on -- now that's something I'll have to learn one of these days.
Cheers

Nice going, Rodolfo I like the whitewash. One thing, though: people say that fire extinguishers in German AFVs almost never were red, but Panzergrau or Dunkelgelb or other "military colors". I have no solid facts for this, but you can check this link: Fire extinguisher color discussion

Yeah, I thought the fire extinguisher looked a little odd but, I'm no expert on these matters

Thanks for your comments and observations. Ready the tracks!. I will change the color of the Extinguisher and next step: Weathering and painting the tracks!

Look forward to the weathering Rodolfo. DML probably heard you were building one and came up with a re-tooled version: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/newkitnews/dml.html

Nice little Wespe, Jim. This must be the reboxing of the little Matchbox kit. Did it come with a desert base?
Nice StuH 42, Rodolfo. Really nice progress and excellent paint work.
I have finally finished my Pz. IV ausf. H. I have based it on a number of old photographs in various books, but it is not modelled based on a specific vehicle/photo.
Comments welcome

Hi Jesper,
Thanks for sharing, and congrats on the nice finish and the figures. I have yet to learn how to paint figures and do those chipping effects. You may have overlooked this -- on the two pics before the last, there seems to be some camo overspray on the open hatches. Unless its how your references depict it, you may want to retouch this with some more chipping effect to break the camo overspray.
Cheers,
Tat

Hi guys,
Some excellent builds starting to show here, I'm a little surprised that there is not as much activity here that some of the other campaigns are having. But some great work.
@Rodolfo love your finished project it looks great. What type of treads are those I have never seen something like that? Was that something to give added traction in the Russian mud and snow?

That lack of activity maybe due to the other campaigns and approaching deadlines there. I.e I had/have to finish a Hummer and an M1 (Deadline 15/July) while this campaign has still ample time.
And it is HOT! The paint dries between Airbrush and model currently!

Thanks for your kind comments friends.
R= I used Matt-black of Humbrol very diluted with Enamel Thiner of the same mark
R= The tracks are "Ostketten" specially for a easy traction and very good for quick actions in combat.

Rodolfo

Hi all.
Well, I'd started my modell. I know that I can compare with nobody here, but I'll try it
The modell that I'm going to crash is the Tamiya's Tiger I Ausf. Afrika, belongen to 501 sPzAbt. and commanded by Leutenant Vermehren.
Any comment is welcome.
Sifre.
