No problem, I look forward to seeing more pics
Regarding the figures, I meant it in a good way. They are supposed to be quite white, and most modelers have a hard time keeping that look during the weathering process ending up instead with a muddy gray finish.

Thanks again for the complement. I figured out what happened to the photos. If you post Photos from Photobucket and then move them into an album in Photobucket the URL changes and this sight don't recognizes the new 1

I have finally decided what to do for this campaign. I will build the Italeri SWS with 37 mm AA gun. I will be using some Eduard PE in places were it makes sense to substitute the kit parts.

It will still be a few weeks until I get started - more to follow then.

I'll be recieving Tamiya's 88mm Flak 36L in a few days. This will give me something to work on till the Tiger campaign starts.

Looks great Sal. Did you used a diluted white for the whitewash effect?

Thanks Matt, Yes, it is diluted white craft store acrylic with a brown acrylic wash and some black pin wash over it.

Sal, I can't believe you've already finished yours and mine is still sealed in it's box....

was it an out of the box build?, I've got etch, new wheels and tracks etc for mine, probably why I haven't started it yet, that and I'm finishing off another campaign.

Yes, It was a OOB build no AM or PE, the only thing that was added was the gear that I have hanging off of the sides came from the spare parts box

Cheers Sal, sadly mine won't be out of the box (I must have been mad when I bought all the am bits), I've got the basic Tamiya kit, eduard etch, voyager front wheels, voyager Barrels, Voyager replacement Headlights, and a set of Model Kasten wheels and tracks (Bought these a good few years back for another project I never started) I think it's time for a lay down. Hope to make a start on it tomorrow afternoon, with a bit of luck.

Well I finally have made a start on mine, I sat down yeasterday afternoon and started on my Model Kasten Wheels and tracks (this is the bit of modelling that i hate so I thought it was the best place to start), I've done 1 run of tracks, and to be honest they went together like a dream, if only all track sets were as easy as that. I also made a start on the lower chassis, installing the exhaust and muffler, and a few other bits.

Jason, thats a lot of AM stuff. I never used any, but I have a KV-1 that came with some so that will be my 1st go at it. Looking forward to seeing you build, what type of paint job you gonna go with

Yep lots of AM, don't normally go that mad but I thought I'd give it a go, I bought the etch for the meshed sides as I don't like the plastic mesh that comes with the kit. Not too sure what paint scheme, may go for a winter white wash in practice for the winter warriors campaign next year.

G'day guys !

My Tamiya Gepard lower hull is assembled and I've started on the upper hull.

Its time to paint the tracks and wheels, and put a base coat on the lower hull before attaching it to the upper

Pics in a couple of days..

I love these straight forward Tamiya kits

Cheers

Here is where I'm at.

I painted the engine fan / plate with Alcad Chome (a bit of practice for Natural Metal that I'll be doing on a P47D soon). The metallic finish has worked REALLY well - Alcad is great stuff !!

Next step painting of the lower hull, wheels, and tracks ....

Cheers

Andy,
Uploaded a photo into the Campaign Gallery, looking forward to seeing what the ribbon looks like and to seeing some of the other builds completed. This campaign was a lot of fun, I have 2 other Flakpanzers that I plan to built for future campaigns

Lower hull done (I still need to paint the track pads). It'll also get a lot of weathering later

The next step is to finish the upper hull, and paint that, prior to putting the "flak turret" together.

Cheers

Hey guys !!

The hull base coat done.

The next step is the assembley of the Turret.

I'll detail paint the hull and "highlight" it later.

Cheers

Paul: Awesome! I was thinking of building that kit for this campaign too. Have you been building it box stock, or are you correcting the inaccuracies?

Hey Jeremy !

This one is strictly a fast OOTB build.

Low cost, low stress, fun build

Very cool Paul, if I can find another kit then I will build one for this campaign as a testbed for painting that awesome camo scheme on it
