Well gentlemen! I'm finally nearing my build for this campaign. Like I said about 8 pages ago, I'm going for Bronco's Triumph motorbike. That is if the new management still allows it as a softskin? Here's the before pic:Quoted TextAnd I vote for Bruce's 1st ribbon. The Jeep trademark 7-slot grill.
I concurr, the Jeep is the softskin...
Cheers!
Stefan
Hi Stefen,
Looking forward to this one.

So here is my project (After a week ends worth!!!)! A type 82 kubelwagen used by the feldgendarmerie, it was painted with Tamiya acrylics weathered with pastels and the gear is from various sets. (I know I missed a spot, covered it up now).
Due to complains about my pictures of the kubelwagen being insufficient, I have uploaded larger pictures!
Thanks for the campaign!

Vlad,
Nice work! Very thorough feldgendermerie kubelwagen. Lots of cool stuff in there.
Sorry if I was one that teased you about your photo sizes. I thought they showed what they were supposed to. Anyway, your final photos definitely do a nice job!

This is a big campaign! Popular idea.
Here's my starting post...
I've included the April 14, 2011 The Onion free newspaper to authenticate the date .
Using the Italeri M1097A2 kit (#6484), note parts trees are still in bags.
Added M60 and its pedestal from a Tamiya M151A2 kit.
Photos of the Three Kings humvee, taken off the worldwide web, as a guide to build by. (So I make no claims that my humvee will be any more authentic than the movie one ).
thanks,
Sean.

@ Alan : noted and the change will be on the next spreadsheet post. I will need to take another head count by going through the post to see which choice will be the SOFT SKINNED ribbon.
@ Vladimir : I am practicing with that camo for my Desert Fox build.
@ John : I want your alligator holder and the Pepsi what green are you using it looks close to what I need on another build.
@ Sean : I like Zon's comment for you I will need to update the spreadsheet for ya.

Thanks Sean, and don’t worry about it I was just playing along! Should I have used a newspaper (date) too?
John: What vehicle is that exactly?
Zon: Thanks,
Bob: It’s a simple camo, but I thought it suited the build!

Here is my entry for this campaign. It’s Accurate Amour’s Diamond T968, which will end up as a Danish Army hauler for a 155mm A1 Gun. The gun will probably not be a part of my entry for two reasons; one, this is a soft vehicle campaign and two, I’m still hoping for a new kit of this arty piece. Italerie’s definitely needs a heavy overhaul or better still, a replacement (Bronco? AFV-Club? Anyone, please?)
So far I’ve done most of the under carriage. The front axle and the rear suspension all fell easily in place. I’ve decided not to detail the engine although detailed parts are supplied. Like all kits from this manufacture it’s extremely detailed, well casted and manufactured but poorly instructed.

I was going to build this straight from the box, for a nice break from all my stresses and whatever, but I had to go and complicate it...
My son completed his other project last week, so this softskin will become a joint project. That means progress will be slower, as we find time when we're both together and his sisters are occupied somewhere else. Nonetheless, he's got good skills, and we're off to a good start. It also keeps this on his workbench, so I can clutter up mine with others.
I want the final to look like the movie pictures in ODS tan, and he liked the Polish Army option on the box best, but I wasn't swayed.
Thanks,
Sean.

Hey folks,
There's some great builds going on out there. Apologies for being a bit late to the party, but I finally made a start on my Africa Korps Type 82 Kubelwagon:
Well, it's a start! I'm going to undercoat it in field grey, then put a coat or two of desert sand over it and start chipping, to give it a 'shipped over from Europe in a hurry' look.

Eoin

Hi guys,
thanks for the postive feedback. My project is almost coming to an end. I'm fitting my model to it's base right now
@ Bob: honestly speaking I would not waste my money on this kit from MMK. It's cheap for resin, but everything about this kit is poor quality. Almost all smaller parts have been replaced by evergreen or made completely new since they were not present in the kit but clearly visible on photographs.
By the way, if any of you guys think the axles of the truck are not straight, it should be like this, Tatra has a unique type of suspension system
cheers,
Matthijs

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I started this model, Uni, work and other hobbies got in the way.
Here are some progress pics of my LKW wolf:
My airbrush broke while I was testing basecoat colours for this model, so I'm doing everything with brushes. I felt a little... muddy when painting this, I'm gonna make it look like it's been doing some serious offroading.
Cheers,
Alex

Hi folks,
Here's the progress on my Kubelwagon...
Now, my plan is to put sand yellow over German field grey. I'm trying to add chips to make it look like a bit battered.
I'm experimenting with this new stuff: Humbrol Maskol:
The dark stains are where I've added the maskol. I'll let you know hoe I get on.
