Shoot, Piotrek I forgot to compliment you on your nice work with the T-72 suspension! Would you mind showing us a picture looking down onto the lower hull to show the inside?

Thanks Guys !

I'm really happy with the Hurricane seeing it is my first "Wingy Thing".

The canopy need a couple of little touch-ups and it'll be ready to go..

This build will put me in good stead for P47N in natural metal finish I have planned - Alcad will be fun to use.

@ Sal - not sure about the Cromwell I haven't built it yet. I guess you'll need to repair those broken bits. Just be patient as you do that and take your time mate !

Cheers

Thanks guys:)

Jeremy
Here are photos for you. As you can see it's very simple. Just enough to keep all together.

And rest of progress for today. I have removed some details from the hull. And make few other things.

cheers

Ok guys, Thanks for the comments, Here is what the Cromwell is looking like. The top is just dry fit to the hull

I used some leftover PE to make 1 side of the headlight guard

I hoping with a little sanding and some putty it won't look too bad

Sal, with something that has so many right angles why would you need any putty looking good so far.

Piotrek: Wow, that's a lot more simple than I thought it would be! I'll have to start trying that on on my kits when I use workable tracks

Sal: Looking good there bud, why do you need putty?

I added a little putty around the piece of PE that I used for the 1 headlight guard and did a little sanding as well Sprayed it with some rattle can primer this morning. I haven't decided on what I was gonna use for a base coat yet, what would you suggest I used Tamyia and Model Masters paints as well as cheap craft store acrylics

Sal I use Tamiya Paints too.

SCC 15, the British equivalent of U.S. OD 9 would be appropriate for NWE 1944.

A very good Tamiya mix is XF52:8 + XF26:8 + XF1:1.

Hey guys ! Keep the updates coming.

The decals are on the Hurricane, and I've "sprayed" the machine with Vallejo Satin Clearcoat..

The next steps are :

1. Complete detail painting (exhaust, propeller blades, undercarriage, tyres etc)

2. Add antenna wire

3. Add wheels

4. Touch up propeller

5. Weather with oils and washes, some chipping, and pastels

Here's where I'm at :

Cheers

Paul: Your Hurricane is looking good! Can't quite tell from the picture, but it looks like you dipped the canopy in future? The decals have set real nice too.

Sal: Looking forward to seeing some paint on that Cromwell

C'est la vie, at least your projects are moving along well, unlike mine. Hope you enjoy your brief hiatus from modeling

Detail painting pretty much complete - a couple of touch ups to go.

I need to attach the wire to the mast, and then get into some weathering

Cheers

Paul

Keep posting your progress guys !

Details painted on.

A light OIl wash added.

The next step is heavier weathering - including exhaust marks, sliver chipping, and dusting.

Kind of Bob ..

The Pegasus kits can be 'snap built' - I've glued mine.

Most of the time has been in reading up on how these Wingy things get weathered and finished.

Aeroplanes have a lot fewer parts than Tank kits too

This one will be finished in a few days, then I think the 7TP might be next

Did a little work on the 7TP and placed the turret on, but those bogies are giving me a headache

Notice that I was only able to attach the drive and idler wheels on at this time.

Nice work Bob

What did you use for references on the Turret dimensions ?

That would have been hard work

Paul, I had used the kits turret for my scratch build in the EOD Campaign and was able to use the deminsions from it.

Take a look:
http://armorama.com/forums/162765&ord=&page=10

Look on page 16 also, this is what state my scratchbuild is in at the moment.

Almost there with my first "Wingy Thing"...

I just need to clean up a bit of dust and add some silver chips around the cockpit ... Mmmmm I need a sliver artists pencil (I need to pop down to the local art store).

Here's where I am :

Paul, the Hurricane looks good and I can not believe the speed with which you have accomplished this.
