Thanks for the comments, Guys. Chris, you can see the kit HERE
60.000 points, Phill? That would be a serious army! Any pictures? - although it is a little of topic.

@Phill: Yeah I thought it probably was Warhammer LOL looks like a WW1 male tank on steroids!
@jesper: I've a friend who owns a comics and wargaming supply shop who tries to get me re-involved in the wargames scene from time to time. LOL I resist, though I've still got a couple of wargames Research armies from the 1943 to 45 era Allied and German that I've still got stashed away(10 000 points).... as well as an original 1974 set of rules! (I did say it was a logggggggggggg time ago!)

Good progress on my Leman Russ tank. The parts fit together well and there is even the option of replacing the sponson weapons. More stuff to clean up and paint, but it can really change the look of the tank.
The construction is done and after clean up of the weapons, painting can begin.
More to follow.

Jesper, for a change of pace, your build is quite rereshing. Looking foward to what you decide to do with paint and weathering.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
For an OOB build not much to these kits. I am building a similar kit for the "what if" campaign. That kit I will update with various extra parts, so there can be seen what extra can be done with basic skills for a kit like this.
This kit I expect to paint in a 2 or 3 colour green camouflage and maybe throw in a little black. I will see how it looks when I get underway.
More to follow later...

So the Quad and the 25 pdr is finished.
I have also posted pictures in the campaign gallery.
I really had a fun time building this one. Its an old set compard to todays standard, and a new one would be welcomed. Until then most of us have to do with this one.
Cheers

I have taken a break from armor. Most of my paint is variations of earth tones and grey. So I decide to build Robby the Robot. Main color? GUN METAL! Below is a picture after the first coat of color. It took a LOT of sanding finishing to get the seams on the sides of the body parts to not be visible. One huge seam right down the side.

I cannot upload pics to the campaign gallery.
I've tried to find a tutorial somewhere, but none of them seems to work.

The procedure is exactly the same as uploading to your member gallery, the only difference is where you upload to.
Strictly OOB Campaign Gallery
What exactly happens when you try to upload?

PS: Scott, I assume the Rules will require us to post a shot of the "completed but unpainted" kit to prove there's no tell-tale white plastic or shiny etch?
That is unless the kit comes with some of that shiny etch :-)

I've finally finished the build phase of the M7 Priest. Tamiya Grey primer was used as my base coat, and the 1st few coats of Model Master Olive Drab was air brushed on. a finishing coat for the tires is up next, then a gloss coat of Testors Model Master Glosscoat for a base for the decals, then a 2nd coat of Gloss to blend them in. Then comes the start of the weathering process. Hoping to be finished by the middle to end of November.
Here's a few pictures of where I am.

Thanks for the comment, Scott. I went a little crazy with the airbrush, but since there are no scheme to follow I just went with what I liked.
Nice progress, Joel. Looking forward to see more.

Hi Gary,
I cannot upload to anywhere else than my own gallery.
I have been uploading pictures to campaign galleries before, so perhaps i am missing something...
Now the gallery is down, so i'll try again later today or tomorrow.
Thanks for your attention.
And thanks for your remarks everyone on my Quad. Yeah...I think it turned out pretty good too
Cheers

Here she is boys
After three hellish weeks of cutting-sanding-fitting-glueing-cursing-painting-weathering I shall call her done! Straight from the box it is, the only thing I added was a block of plasticine clay inside that hollow rear engine compartment so this monstrosity actually weighs at least a pound Oh I also "carved" out the .50cal handles to make it look a little more presentable than just being a square blob of plastic A little lighter olive drab was intentionally sprayed as its base color with a little light brown for cam - not so sure if it came out in the pics though. Weathering was an oil wash of burnt umber and flat black to darken the whole model, then followed up by an overall drybrushing and gloss/flat finishing coat. As promised I was gonna give you an ugly model, so enjoy

Had to take a couple of weeks off of the project for work but here we are. I have an in-progress shot and a completion shot.
