I loved building the JGSDF Light Humanitarian Vehicle. Fun to put together and weathering it was something to look forward to.
Here is a shot of the one I did...not for this build.

Nice models here.
Bill, your Thunderbird looks very fine.
I too have got an other F-16 and I have to admit that it is complicated to build if you want to assemble and paint it properly.
A few words about how you have removed the weld seem along the canopy?

Well it really was'nt a big job. I used a fine swizzle stick, the pink one to sand the seam down flush. Then I used Meguiar's scratch X 2.0 and lightly buffed the whole canopy and it came out crystal clear. Hope this helps, Marco.

Fellow Tamiya-philes,
I am calling my SU-85 done! I will add some accessories and stowage when I finally base it, but the model is now completed. Now I can move onto the three other campaigns I need to complete before the first of the year! Yipes!
As mentioned previously, the highlights include the addition of Eduard and On the Mark photoetch, a metal barrel, Model Kasten tracks and a number of scratchbuilt details. In finishing, Polly-S paints were mainly used along with some Tamiya. Liquitex Ceramic Stucco (a painting texture paste) was used for the 'mud'. This was tinted with Polly-S paints and later dry-brushed and washed. Various washes air-brushing and dry-brushing was used to add dirt, paint fading, rust, drips and stains. All-in-all, a fun build of an old favorite and I tried a few new things on the kit - first link-to-link track, more involved photoetch and fist mud. Please check out a few pictures and, as always, comments are always welcomed.
This campaign has been quite enjoyable and I have been quite impressed by the level of skill exhibited in the builds. Keep up the excellent work!

Here's an update on my Marder III
I'm hoping I can find some individual track links. I was planning to model it with a broken track and the crew having abandoned it in a hurry. If I can't find the individual links I'll live with the rubber band. I'm also working on a couple figures and plan to place it on a small base. Going to try a lot of new techniques on it and cross my fingers.
Cheers,
Jeff

Old M-10 tank destroyer for me on this campaign boys, to be started today on Canadian Thanksgiving day. I just realized how much this model's scale is out of whack! Its so big its almost like 1/32

@ Muttley -
Good choice on the M-10! I have found much enjoyment in taking an older model and seeing what you can do with it. When I built the SU-85 for this campaign, it was fun sitting down at the table and thinking what can be changed or improved upon now. So, have fun with the build, I am looking forward to seeing how it comes out.

Stephen,
Awsome work on your SU-85, love the weathering done on it. Yep i like working on legacy kits cause these are the ones I grew up and got used to. Im not a PE user either but more of a traditional scratchbuilder. It does take a little creativty to make older kits look good but the end results is almost always satisfying

Here is my in progress photo of the Tamiya Pz III Ausf L kit with the Masterbox figures of Rommel and tank crew.
will add a few more details and Friul Tracks.
I need a title for this little diorama.
Since one crewmember is pointing I have though of things like:
They went thataway!
or for the humor
The nearest portapotty is over there!
any suggestions are welcome
thanks,
Tom

I can't believe I haven't started yet. Here's a picture of my entry: Tamiya's 1/35 Leopard 1A4. This will be an out of the box build. When my modeling skills have improved, I'd love to add the ice grousers and rack to the glacis plate but not for this build.

Fantastic looking Thunderbolt! Nice finish and the decals look great too.
Anywho,
Here's some hopeful pre-shading on my Duece and a half:
We'll see how it looks afterwards,
