I really enjoyed this Campaign, the Hetzer was a sweet build !!!
I wish I had the time for another build but I'll give it a try with another one, I need to shrink my stash .
Panzer II or Wespe ?
any suggestions ?

Read Paul's encouraging note to everyone on their great builds and I had to go back and check that I hadn't missed the deadline. Spooked me there I thought it was closed.
I will hopefully have some updated photos of my M-41 Walker Bulldog up later this weekend.

Thanks for the kind words Greg and Hakan
I actually built this Leopard in parallel with the M5A1 in the "All American tracks" Campaign. It helps with efficient painting and weathering seeing the base coats are the same color
Cheers

Finally I took some updated photos. I used the Japanese decals that came in the kit and was pretty impressed at how deep they set into the weld lines on the turret. I used Micro Set and Micro Sol to get them in there and did three applications, I believe.
I added some rusty-colored oil paints along weld lines.
The mufflers were painted with Tamiya Brown and then weathered using Mig Pigments Old Rust, Standard Rust, and Light Rust. They were fixed using the Mig Fixer. Afterwards I dropped some more Old Rust and fixed them to give them some texture.
My first use of Magic Sculpt to make sandbags. A friend showed me how to do them quickly and use a needle tip to add some folds. I like the technique and look forward to improving my skills.
One last overview of the whole kit. Next up is some mud using Mig Pigments.

To Fellow Tamiyaphiles,
Here is an update on the SU-85 I am working on for the campaign. I have the lower hull completed and most of the upper hull done. I have been adding details to the kit where needed. The changes as of now are the following: Added louvers to the engine deck; cut out the engine grill and added photo-etch from Eduard; 'rebanded' the external fuel tanks with some brass strips after removing the plastic 'bands'; added photoetch side grills to the engine deck;
assembled the ModelKasten tracks with a jig made by two pieces of bathroom tile, to allow for the guide teeth. - Worked wonderfully and the ceramic does not react to model glue!;
cut off the tow cable ends, hollowed them out and super-glued in some picture hanging wire; and finally added a couple of handles where Tamiya had nothing or only blobs.
I will be adding the hull sponsons to combat that 'see-through tank' look and the tiny tie-downs on the sides and fenders towards the end of construction.
Thanks and comments always welcome.
Keep the good models coming,
Stephen

Great work guys!! You're away for a few weeks and come back to see all this...
As for the bathroomtiles, Stephen: That is one sickeningly shrewd and cool idea!!!
Here's what I finally finished. Please do not remind me that this was intended to be built within 24 hrs:
It's a strange machine: Extra Dark Sea Grey belly, only four cannons and few stencils. Sky decals btw.
Tell me what you think...

Fellow Tamiya-philes,
Some more progress on my SU-85 build. Just about painting time! Here are a few pics of the completed build, still broken down in major components to facilitate painting.
Completed build before painting. Added details includes tie-downs, fuel tank straps, grab handles, engine deck screens, and saw. The turned metal barrel was very nice and worth the price - no sanding down barrel seams!
A little better view of the engine deck with the screening and the (currently) white engine louvers.
The photoetch tie-downs were not as bad as I had thought going into this project, especially since this is my second or third time working with photo-etch.
Here are the completed and painted Model Kasten tracks. Once again, a little trepidation at working with indy track links, but it was not that bad, especially when you use a nice product. The paint layers were pretty much light brown, a rusty brown, rusty black wash and then metallic grey dry-brushing. The paints were Polly-S except for the metallic grey, which was Tamiya.
So this weekend will be (hopefully) a paint-fest! I sprayed a dark green basecoat last night and let that dry overnight. Second coat tonight, overnight drying. Then shading the green, Future gloss, decals, more Future, washes, drybrushing highlights, dirt, dust, drips and chips - final flatcoat(s) and VOILA! Hopefully a finished SU-85! Stay tuned....
May your glue never spill...

I'd pick the Citroen Jason .
So far the Hetzer was done, so my next build for this Campaign is ...
Tamyia kit nr 261 - Panther G w/eduard PE for Zimmerit coating.
I added the following extras:
Lion Roar Metal Barrel
Additional shrapnel covers from Aber
IR set from Dragon donated by my friend Michael Courter.
That's it !!! Even if I don't finish the second build I'll have a great time trying !!!!

Hi all,
Finally got around to taking a couple of pics of my Tamiya P-47 RB. I have hand masked and painted on the unit markings and have just put on a gloss coat ready to do the decals.
Used plenty of tamiya tape on this!

Hi
A little late to start but I've been busy around the house with drywalling so modeling has taken its place on the back burner.
I'm taking a crack at the Tamiya Marder III. I bought it VERY shortly before I quit modeling 10 years ago. I bought it at a store with my girlfriend at the time and she said something like "We went Dutch on a date and you bought that?". It's followed me through university 3 moves and into a marriage with an awesome model encouraging wife, so I hope I do the Marder justice.
]
The only date photo I could get is with my Ipod, I started on Sep 8th and should post some progress photos tonight or tomorrow.
Cheers
Jeff

The sandbags on the glacis plate seem like they would block the driver's view.
I like seeing it in JGSDF markings!

They are kind of high on the side periscopes but the front periscopes are clear. I knew someone would pick up on that little error.
