Mason is now working on the cables. He struggled getting the wire into the cable ends and is wrapping up the painting before he attaches them.
He finished the tracks and put them on and had to re-touch the rust work he did.

Mason got the top tow cables on...after much frustration on his part. However, once on, he felt like he conquered the impossible.
While taking the pics, I saw glue spots that need some paint touch up...thinking of how to deliver that to him when he gets home from school.....
The lighting looks so different, yet they are the same lights and flash as always...maybe I'm losing my vision with my aging...

He can hide the glue spots with some storage or the weathering will help hide them. Very well done Mason.

Here's the latest pics of Mason's Tiger. The lighting and camera angle really shows the wash he did by hand...doesn't show up like that in person though. The photography side really is an education for me as much as the modeling is for him.

Here is Emmet's hurricane. Finished and flying and machine-gunning.
During a lull in combat I captured these shots in the mess hall. I couldn't prise it off him without a fight
Good ol Chocolate spread!!!
Great idea for a campaign. Really enjoyed seeing the new talent on show here. My stash will never be safe again!!!

A few shots of the finalized Tiger...
I have to add that Mason really was bitten by the bug...so much so that he has been giving me pointers and suggestions on my own build...gotta love it!

Well we have nearly come to the end of the Next Generation Campaign with only 2 days left until the big announcement on who has been awarded what. I request that those entrants who have not yet E-mailed me the requested pictures and their postal details do so as soon as possible in order that I can get their prize to them. To the best of my knowledge Brian Brown is the only one who has not answered my request in this thread or the PM I have sent him. I would like to add that it has been a joy to watch your builds progress with some excellent work having been done, and it is good to know that this hobby is safe in your hands for the future.

Congratulations to all of you who have completed the Next Generation Campaign. Out of eleven entries eight of you completed your builds, and now for some unexpected news as the campaign is now finished.
Each and every one of you who completed this campaign will be getting;
• A certificate signed by Mig Jimenez.
• A DVD from AK interactive (Washes, Fading, and Oils) provided by Mig Jimenez of AK interactive and Iain Hamilton of AK interactive USA.
• And every one of you will be getting a model kit from either a manufacturer, KitMaker staff member, and in one case from a very generous site member Milvehfan.
We will clarify who is getting which prize as soon as we can best determine a suitable model for each member who has completed the campaign.
Well done to each of you, you have all earned your reward.
Darren
