the headlight guard was just Pe, the Hatch protectors were stretched sprue, and spare grille, placed on, althought its a bit fine, the gaps needed to be so much bigger..

Would the Russian Aerosan be considered Allied Armor?
I'm going to have to say no. I realized that I was trying to find an attribute that would fall under the armor category to hard for it to be.

James - it's looking good - those hatch spikes look sharp!
I got my Crusader primed (sorry no pics)
and here's where I'm at on the M36 Jackson
Well I got the RB model 50 cal on there and almost went crazy getting the little handles in the holes. One feel out and then the CA glue blocked up the tiny hole - #$@#$@#%. Scratched the little rack good enough to my liking. I'll have to go back and smooth some glue areas, corners, and seams still but that's enough for now.

and i scratch built the fixed sight? that is seen on most of the pictures in the book im using.
I really hope the sandbags paint up well.
also torn between Full OD with only camo on the wooden armor, a la "hobo"
or full camo a la " misc unknown unit"

Hi! I like to contribute to the campaign with a braille Matilda tank. Recently began, I will give a few photos when I have time. I like Italeri 1/72 tanks and selected Matilda Mk.II for the campaign.
I have not selected the scheme but I liked two of them one is from the North African Campaign and the other is in Malta.

@James, thanks, I am a fast builder
the foil came from a arts and crafts store, it's 0.1 mm thick, about the same thickness of the microwave dishes for lasagna and stuff...
but unlike the lasagna dish I don't have to flatten it it came as aA4 format, I use it to make lids and little "home made " pe parts

I finally was able to up-load some progress pictures of the Mk III Valentine II I am building for the campaign. Still a long ways to go. Nice kit, my first Mini Art build. This will be a 7th Armour Brigade tank, havn't made up my mind which one.
Now the server is busy, I still have to wait. This is driving me crazy.

I finished the TD and figure now, but I'm still going to need to figure out the groundwork. I have a pic in mind with a M36 near a building, but may need to change it.

Haven't visited in a while - some really nice work there!
@Pit - good choice, IS-2 is certainly heavy enough to provide some counter-weight but I think you should read this: http://www.4bogreen.com/is-series/plastic-and-resin-kits/1-35-scale/dml
Cheers,
Dierk

Okay fellas. Got some more progress..
Construction is 100% complete as far is i know
And I have started painting! Wood is..

i have yet to add camo to the wood, but i suspect i'll be using maskol and showing some through. ( there will be bare wood showing anyway. )

Hi all. Lots of great builds going on here!
James: Nice Sherman. Love all those nails you've added. Never seen that done before.
Greg: Great looking Jackson. That .50cal is impressive.
Pit: Nice work on the IS2. What type of green did you use for the paint job?
Burak: Nice choice. Both interesting paint scheme's, a hard choice.
Ralph: Looking good. Miniart and Bronco have been releasing some great Allied kits that have tempted me to "go 1:35".
I made a start on my build today.
I will be building the 1:72 (Resin) Retrokit T13 - B3 Belgian "tank destroyer" from 1940. I will be adding a crewman from Solfig. And using decals from Aleran.
There is some photos of these vehicles further down this page.
http://ww2armor.jexiste.fr/Files/Allies/Allies/1-Vehicles/Belgium/2-SPG/T.13/T.13.htm
The kit looks quite good and will require the usual clean up a resin kit needs. The instructions are basic to say the least. The turret will need some work as the walls are to thick and the breach of the gun is joined to the roof in one solid block.
The track assembly is one piece. This is the area that lets the kit down I feel as the spoked road wheels are not clear "holes", and they are attached to a thin sheet of resin leaving no room between the chassis and wheels. There is no teeth on the inner track either. Regardless I think it will turn out to be a nice little build and will be fun to put together.
Cheers,
Tim

thanks guys, sorry for the speed build but I am a modeller who hates being slow everytime I'm making a model, anotherone is racing through the skull
well did some work in the dark hours (peace and quiet time, with the headphones on, and my mind on JS2)
mud not very clear on pictures, when I finnish the tracks I'll try to make better ones
Ps @Tim aka firefly74 I used olive green from Revell Aqua cube, then oversprayed with a mist of same plus tiny bit of bright yellow (brand i forgot but it's like the vallejo bottles) to clear it up somehow
as I was intending on making it a dusty road dweller I didn't use the usual oil washes, so the colour didn't have to be lightened much, if using oils better to start brighter then to end in darkness
Pigments are home made, eyeballed, I have to make enough, running out of your "special dust mix in the middle of a project is really enervin, to say the least....
