Vladimir.......I found the picture while doing a "google" search for 'knocked out Panther tanks' =( I know Panther's again ) and that came up?????? I recognized it straight off with that gawping hole in the front there.

Duncan, that is the greatest picture I've ever seen. Can't tell for sure if the tank will still run, probably jostled pretty good when you drop them from that height!

Jeremy, sorry to ignore your post from April 29-- I only noticed it now. I couldn't find where I had seen Mig's step by step either. It might have been in print in Finescale Modeler magazine or on their website. I could have sworn it was on the Armorama homepage though. Sorry for that confusion.

Sean.............. Yep that T34 image is pretty unique
Remco........... No worries... there's a lot of 'Campaign Frenzy' about.

I was going to use a ICM Panther D to practice 'Knock-ing Out' but it's still on route from overseas... so I dug out a T34/76 I've had for about 20 years! which I was going to use in the Tamiya Campaign.
I spent an enjoyable evening whittling and cutting into the kit, quite therapeutic I think.
I cut off the RHD side arch (remainder needs more work) and bent and cut up the engine lid/deck to look warped, plus the LHD side mudguard got a pummeling! but that's about it for a first attempt, I still need to hit her with some holes using the pin drills and some correct size rod = 88mm impacts....
The reason I cut off the arch was 1. I over did the damage? and 2. I wanted to try cutting a big section out before I attacked my Panther model in the 'What If' campaign.

Wondered in to the local Artist supplies and purchased oil pints and brushes etc... felt very bohemian, lol!! wheels are now done, no tracks (rubber band type... ek!) coat of black tomorrow then I'm going to use ScatchMods Techniques and see how I go !? haven't been to precious but still quite pleased.



What to you reckon... input is welcomed guys.

I'll have to see what I can get first, but I'd like to portray that in 1/72 or maybe 1/48.

Well that was quick, Dragon offers that exact tank in 1/72

there's a fantastic version of this in 1/35 over on Missing lynx by Cheehong Ahn

I will see how to doing them. Probably V100 on a road and M113 just at the rear partialy on the road side with rear panel down.
And it will be at 1/48 scale.

Or are we having a little brainstorm session on what to make?

I want to make my Dragon formochka model 1943 with the side knocked out of it, so you can see the interrior on the inside. I have a photo in T-34 the mythical weapon book that the side and part of the enginedeck is blown off.
The mig and verlinden T-34 kits i use as a guide for the blown interrior.
