Phillippe,Here's a quick run down of what I did.
1.Painted tank semi gloss black
2.painted and placed all small parts(tools, extra tracks, brackets ect.)
3.sprayed hull with over reduced Vallejo buff
4.took plaster dust on a soft bristled brush and rubbed it on the hull to hi-lite the seams and things.
5.Ground down some light grey artists soft pastel, picked that up with a brush and tapped the brush with my finger over the hull and let it fall where it may.Thats it.

Rob...Yes,that cable sure would be heavy.I'm thinkin thats why they had a crew,to do all the heavy lifting J.T.

Phil

The Panther tow cables (and the one around the winch on the Bergepanther) were 32mm diameter (1 5/16"), so at 1/35 would be almost 1mm in diameter.

Imagine trying to lift a few metres of that !

Regards

Rob

Thanks alot Rob! it is exactly the answer I was looking for.
The eureka XXL are therefore more accurate than the voyager model.

OK, forget it. I've tried and it is the right length, one more is just strange looking.

I think it is just right, not to much.

I would darken a little the green but maybe it is the pic. And that is just me.

Good lookin jagdpanther you got there!

I'd agree that the green is maybee a little light, nut if giving it a wash that will help darken it up. Also since most camo was field applied and that means crew mixing it themsleves there is always room darker, lighter, thicker, thinner etc.

If you need them, I have a few photos of that Jagdpanther, including some interior ones.

Daren, Jeff and Gary,
Thanks for track confirmation.
Yesterday was a day of tiny PE parts.

And of course I've dropped the last pin and never found it. I had to scratch one and it is better looking, IMO than the flat PE. But there is no chain.
Here is the home made pin.

Finaly there is plenty of links left from the fruil kit so I've used them insted of the plastic one in the Dragon kit.

You all enjoy your sunday!

Everything is in place for painting...
I'll be building the diorama this week.

Any advice would be great before I get the primer on!

Thanks.

Phil...If you see any spots that you think may need work before you prime, fix them before you prime.I learned that the hard way
Here's a pic of my improved paint job.I beefed up the green a little.Better?

I will have an update later today,I've gotten behind in my posts.A lot of stuff is happening with this kit. Model on,J.T.

Thanks Gary!

As for the ground work, it is still undecided since it'll be a urban base with a small wall. The tank repair crew that I wanted to use (track changing) will probably be dispatch to the bergepanzerIV that I've ordered...not sure. I'll do my best to honor your teaching hehe.
Phil.
