Gary: Could you please extend the deadline to February 1st?
Matt, I think Gary didn't see your message about the deadline.

I have no problem with an extension to Feb 1. Too many campaigns are ending at the end of December!

I've finished the assembly on my ABP Humvee, and moved into painting:
I still need to do a little touch-up on the camo, but I think it's starting to look cool.
I added a PRC-77 radio, PKM ammo cans and cases of water bottles to the interior, but I forgot to take pictures before I masked it all off. I guess I'll do it when the model is finished.

Chris: I like the camo.
John: That looks great. How exactly did you achieve the dusty/sandy effect?

Thanks Matt, the dusty effect is just chalk pastels that's sanded down and mixed. Then its blotted on with a old brush, blown off. That's it.

John, nice job on the pickup. The dusty look is simple, yet effective.
Chris, cool camo. Looking forward to see more. Sounds like the interior looks good as well.

Nice work Alex!
Here is my nearly finished M1151. Its based on the walkaround posted on cybermodeller, and I've tried to recreate all the details visible on the real vehicle, but obviously there are a few missing still (star antenna, vests etc). Also, I know the A/C vent covers are missing - I used them on another project, so I have to scratchbuild some replacements soon.
Cheers
Anirudh

Cheers guys.
Heres a photo of the finished build, and a link to its own thread which you've probably already seen.
Build ThreadI've also put some photos of it in the campaign gallery. Do I need to to anything else now?

Back to CV9040 C
I tried something for the tracks, I drilled them and join them together with my track pins made by 0,3 mm wire. It was a very tiring and time consuming job, but the result is very convincing. "Friuled" styrene tracks is easier to install after the painting seperately.
I wonder that someone else tried it before but they are really working.
