Jeff, you crack me up!
Speaking of schedules--I got a little more work done. Did some surgery on the mare's ears. (I call it a mare because its either female or the poor horse had an unfortunate accident while jumping over a fence!) The Dremel did me a favor by not only carving out all that ear wax, but also filled in the holes.
This is a horse of a different color. Just a base coat. The top coat will be a darker brown. Not too much added sanding is needed since most of the seems will be covered by armor. Is it me, or does it look like a piggy bank with that slot in its back?

Man, it's been quiet around here, like a ghost town. I'll stop in to visit and see nothing but tumbleweeds blowing by.
Got the rest of the armor sprayed:
And something I haven't tried since I was a kid-- two-toning with rattle can spray paint. It didn't come out too poorly. Nothing a little airbrushing can't blend:

Keith, the armor looks good,I used to do fade jobs like that with a rattle can on My car models when I was a little shaver, and I'm glad you didn't get lost in the Knight Sorry,I had to do it
I agree this campaign has been quiet.I've kinda been waiting to see if any one else was going to start. There are 31 people signed up.I know Jeff S. has a lot going on,but I don't have a clue as to where everybody else is.Jeff T.

I'll tell you where I'm at and things are looking up just after 3 grueling treatments as the Doc said yesterday, I am right where I need to be so that is good news to me. I needed some good news.
With that outlook I think I want to drag down my Chieftain kit since Jeff T is building a Centurion.
Just a simple build no special paint either.

Jeff,
Great news!
I will be doing a 1/24 Spitfire with a RB Productions Sutton QK harness.
Just have to finish up a couple of builds I got behind on.
Cheers Rob.

Hi guys, finally got some time to throw a rattle can at the Gimpy and added some aliminium paint to it. It's nowhere near finished yet but my company insists that I work stupid hours at the moment and the family insist on the rest of the time I'm not sleeping so modelling is taking a bit of a hit.
Here's some fresh pics.
Showing the ammo feed pawls just under the top cover:
And in me hand for an idea of size, now bear in mind I have big paws! 1/48 is difficult never mind 1/72.
Needs a lot more work yet though.

Ah Jeff! What a beauty!
I have two of these Centurions. One in the stash that I'm saving for a rainy day and another that someone gave me because he'd lost most of it including the barrel.
Are you going to do a cutaway showing the interior?
Go on, you know you want to!!!

Phil...The box does say 1973
Murdo...I'm going to have a hard enough time just building this thing, never mind cutting it up I'll see how it goes, but at this point I don't think the chainsaw will be seeing any action on this kit
Jeff S....You got to remember Phil's from Canada. Not there's anything wrong with that
The bench is being cleared and things should be getting under way shortly.Jeff T.

Jeff S.... I don't know about ALWAYS going big.Steve Martin made a lot of money "Getting Small"
Phil...Don't sell yourself short Man,I just checked out your T-72 build, and I have to say,it's pretty sweet.
So here's where I am.Doesn't look like much, but I'm spending a lot of time cleaning and filling.
So,I have two questions.
1.The instructions call for most of the interior to be light grey.Am I correct in thinking that it would be semi-gloss?Could I use Vallejo's or Tamiya's light grey primer and be close?
2.I really haven't figured out what color scheme I"m going to use on the outside yet.The instructions show 6 options.I'm all set with the dark yellow and camo choices, but if I deside to "go green" and save the planet, what green should I use? Jeff T.

Jeff,
Just remember when getting small not to go in a vacuum cleaner.
Cheers Rob.
