It's lookin' good Jeff. Have you ever thought about, or tried, printing up some generic gauges and cutting them to fit inside the bezels? They don't have to be decals, plain paper would do.

Can't wait to see more.

Man,that's a good idea. But I really don't have a clue as to how to start,or how to get the right size? Jeff T.

@Jeff T.--making dials and gauge faces is easier than sounds, and simpler than these instructions look.

What you will need:
1. An inkjet or laser printer
2. A program you can imbed and resize images in such as MSWord or PowerPoint
3. Regular white printer paper or photo paper

My method:
Steps:
1. Find random pics or drawings of dials/gauges on-line (nothing copyrighted of course)
2. Save them to your computer.
3. Open your document program.
4. Insert the desired image(s)!to the document.
5. Insert multiple copies of the same image(s) into the doc.
6. Resize each copy making different sizes, guestimating to the kit gauge.
7. Print out the page on the desired type of paper.
8. Hold the kit part to the page and compare the gauge/bezel to the images.
9. Cut out the closest sized image and trim to fit inside the kit bezel.
10. Glue the cutout in place.
11. If desired or needed--seal with a drop of clear gloss paint or a drop of glue for clear plastic.

Viola' instant gauges!

This also works for decals, except I'll use plain paper to find the right size image then delete the others when it comes time to print on the decal sheet to save the pricier decal paper.

Eligibility question:

It says in the rules that civilian vehicles are welcome but I couldn't tell if they needed to be modified for military use. I wanted to check since the only large scale items I have are a 1/20 Lotus Coventry Racer and a 1/12 Suzuki Katana, both from Tamiya.

From the rules:

" Military or Civilian Vehicles and Aircraft are most welcomed."

No need for modification, this is a Large Scale Campaign... military or civilian.

So, get building!

@Jeff T. Don't leave! I promise I'll get back to the knight! Really! And Soon!
But seriously- I think we all understand the need to take a break thing.
Your tank is looking good. Looking forward to your return and its completion.

Jeff, your build has been so heavily documented here that you should think about saving it on a disc for future references!

Reposting this because I accidentally deleted it the first time. Forgot to mention it will be going on my girlfriend's work desk when finished. She is crazy... about Lotuses.
