You guys can't have ALL the fun ya know.

While I have stages drying I need to hop back on my JEEP too, then that sweet XB-70 afterwards!

I'll be back soon!

Jeff I would say I'll race ya but I have to fit this in around customers work so it'll draaaaaaag out a little for me I suspect ....

Hmmm, btw does anyone know if the white camo overalls the Tamiya crew are wearing are reversable with camo? Or would they be mouse-grey on the other side?

I've got plenty of ref pics on plain camo type smocks but not the large winter variety Tamiya show.

Hi Everyone,

Completely forgot this campaign had started and am now well behind the curve. Right, I have got all the models to get going with the campaign, they are all Braille Scale and the one is smaller than most things, possibly not the smallest braille thing I have done but very close. Here are the starter photographs...

The Maxim M4M...

I hope to mount it on a GAZ truck, if I have time...

The SdKfz 140, I really want to do this model, I hope I have time to complete it during the campaign...

The close up of the date...

Hopefully I will get these started this week and will post the progress.

All the best,

Paul

@Phil: coming along very nicely as always mate

@John: hi there, that build will be probably be finished in a couple of days, knowing the speed that you go at

@Gary: nice `n´clean as always dude, just how much mind power do you have? You can´t see a hint of glue anywhere

@Darren: like it, looks cool, the engine also. I also choose
Tamiya hull red as the base rust color, and work on it from there. I use enamels and ground up chalks, but never the same procedure.

Well here you go build side finished, base coat tomorrow:

Paul

You're right Paul .. it's almost done...
Will take some pics tomorrow ..

@Gary

Great work ! Can't wait to see you painting it...

Howdy Jeff:
I hope Tamiya releases that kit 1/48 soon. I'll buy one or two.
Can't wait to follow your build,

A tiny bit of progress .... thinned the inside edges of the guards, gave the chassis and underdecking a quick spray before assembly. Added the rear deck and most of the cab ....

I think I want to white wash it. Should I apply it RIGHT over the unprepared grey styrene? I'm wandering if Tamiya acrylics thinned out with water would do it?

Hmmmm... I must check it out.

This has to be one the most active campaign I've joined to date. Been following all the builds, as there is such a great variety.

I'm still more then a month or two away from being able to start my M42 Duster, as the Bronco M24 Chaffee is quite a complex kit, that has turned into a real challenge. But as Jeff said, the campaign runs for 9 months, so I have time.

Thanks Gary !
I wanted to give the trailer a different look, older & worn, and not the Flak, I just gave a light filter & wash on the flak.

@ Brent: nice progress and looking real good

@ John: nice one, Ilike the last two pics before the chipping, they almost like the real thing

@ Darren: looking cool mate, keep it up.

@ Phil: you still have a ways to travel mate, nice and clean till now though

@ Jeff: nice shake `n´ bake choice there, you´ll have standing on a shelf in no time

Here we go then:
Base coat anthracite 09 Revell, then Revell Afrika braun Aqua color 17, and over that a light over spray with Tamiya
XF 60 lightened with some Tam. buff.

That´s all till Friday, I´m going home for short break to see my parents, and possibly visit a museum
