Terry ... ya know bud i feel the same quite often ..letting the ol mind loose on a model is so much fun but in moat cases it also becomes a huge pain in my arse cause i keep finding other cool ideas as i am building ,,which happened not more than 10 mins ago .bugger!!
Brian ... Welcome abroad matey
as i always happen to say ,,the more the merrier
Ok guys i am pretty sure the most of you who know me know that i am a prick cause keep things close to my chest about what i am building ..well as i said to Terry about plans changing they have ,,now i need to buy 2 Abrams tanks cause i need to hulls
man i do myself no favors at all .

I have only thought of minor changes, but you should see the pile of amassed kits just for this one!

At this point Phil is the only one that knows what I'm building. Even then, some of that is still up for grabs. I've changed my mind quite a few times so I just quit posting what I'm going to do. He's been really helpful in ironing out some ideas.
At this point, my plans are really locked in. Even if I wanted to change my mind, it's really too late. Plus, I really like the idea I am working with. What I have teed up and set aside will look at two distinct time periods of the outbreak. One will be very early during the outbreak. The other will be a few years after the outbreak as humanity is still clinging on. I'm playing on the contrasts between the two. I'll leave the time in between for you guys and your wonderful death machines. There may even be a tie-in to what I built for EOD1.
Beyond that'll I'll keep it under wraps. I'll be glad when this one starts though.

Alex ,, mate i was only to happy to help ya out ,your ideas are really good and the more we discussed it the better it got ..i am still rather impatient about seeing the end results
Sean ,,,
The master of suspense
thanks man
never been called that before and even tho i dont give any real clues about the project its being annoying ..one idea ends with a very large something and the second idea i am pretty sure wont be as big which for me wont really work with what i have planned .
Hell i am that nuts i am building from scratch the P1000 Ratte for the super heavy campaign ..ya i can see myself getting into a whole heap of trouble
Paul ... Oh mate i know how you feel but one thing i am lucky with is the big pile of donor kits i have for all my nuts ideas ...i have nearly as many donor kits as i do unmade ones .
Hell for this build its cost me nearly a hundred NZ dollars so far and its not even started yet
Lucky thats about all its gonna cost ... i have pretty much everything else

Damn Phil.... can't even begin to think of what is going to need TWO Abrams hulls..... is it going to be a mobile city/town on tank tracks?
I need to start ordering stuff for EOD I guess.

Two Abrams hulls huh. I thought you were goign to supersize your truck idea from EOD1. So I figured a tractor trailer rig dressed out. I kind of have an idea of what you might be doing. I'll be interested how you use the Abrams. Can you tell us what brand Abrams you're using?

Christopher, Alex ,, Well the Abrams is pretty much a 99% idea at the mo ,, but knowing me i will probably build it .. it will be Dragon who will supply the chassis as i have 5 of those and 3 are in pretty bad shape so as donor vehicles they fit the bill nicely .
Alex ,, The EOD1 truck was the bases for EOD2's vehicle but not a giant copy ...still working on the design in my head and i am getting pretty close to the final version ,the only thing that the two machines will have in common is wheels ,,,thats about it

Phill: I'm not sure the Abrams is sufficiently massive for your build... You should consider two Tortoises

wow!!! i wish i had all the spare kits and parts laying around like yall.. i am so new to modeling ( like the last month) lol but i love it and have built over5 kits since and each one is getting better and my tools and stuff are getting better all the time . i recently acuired a airbrush! well ill be damned it made things so so much easier and fun to paint . my poor leopard tank has been my guinea pig and prolly has 10 layers thick of weathering and paint tecniques on it haha.
anyway back to the campaign... i am still unsure what im gonna build but im so excited and ideas keep flying through and then ill read a post like the tractor trailer and whamm !!! idea changes again haha i do have a churchill crocodile sittin around i could bash..( i think thats what that means kit bash.. or mash ) lol im a rook!
anyway thanks for all the ideas.. take care.

Christopher i am way ahead of ya there matey
I already have 3 Morser Karls and 3 Leopold's
but the Karl's chassis is no good for what i have in mind .. thinking a lot more modern with a lot more speed ,the Abrams chassis's will work ..but so would a couple of Leo 2's as well and i have 4 of those

So Phil....when are you opening your own hobby shop? And who needs speed when you've got big guns, or are too high up for any zombies to reach you?

Well thats the strange thing about this idea ,, nearly no guns at all ..its more like a high speed cross country people and cargo mover ,,with the tracks its designed to move across ground trucks can't travel ..thats the idea kinda for this machine ..EOD2 machine tho ..a whole different story
Hell given the time i will need and with building a 35th scale P1000 Ratte for the Super Heavy campaign i just might build both .

I was actually thinking about the Monster and Ratte, that's how I came to the conclusion of the Morser Gerat and Leopold! Are there even any kits of the Monster or Ratte?

To be honest i dont know about the Ratte but i am pretty damn sure there aint one for the Monster .. in any scale .. there is a heap of Ratte models thats people have made and some of them might be kits but i myself have never seen one .
A monster in 72nd would be possible but that would mean either destroying the Trumpeter kit just for the parts or making your own mold and making the bits needed from the Trumpeter parts .
Would be most interesting to build in 35th and one day i will .
Hell that 35th Dora kit still yells at me to buy one but they are $1300 bucks here .

Phill, "Supersize" probably wasn't the best choice of words. I figured you were going to continue the evolution/development of your EOD1 truck to something bigger. Maybe even doing something like Dead Reckoning from "Land of the Dead".
When you mentioned the tanks that threw me off. But like Christopher, I figured you were goign with a mobile tracked fortress or something.
Mayans willing, we'll be getting this one underway soon.

Phil, I think you should try to find a large scale model of the NASA Shuttle Transporter....use a couple of those for your mobile base/cargo thing!
