Thanks Greg!
I'll get a pic up tomorrow and please don't despair about it being a Snap-Fit kit. I will use cement, I will paint it and I will look into a launch pad or a scaffolding/tower (whatchamacallit) for it to go along.

Thanks for the feedback Gents.
Jeff S. If you can't find a launch pad or whatchamacallit, you could always strap it to your chopper from the last campaign Sorry,I couldn't help Myself
I'm just glad you're in the mix Dude,I know your build will be cool Jeff T.

Here is a quick update on the BA-10. The real thing is riveted plates, but the kit is lacking almost all rivets, and worse, every edge is rounded where it shold be a sharp corner. This is a ton of work to build the corners up and add the rivets. At this point I may punt and say this is a "prototype" welded body and add weld beads all around. Also, you can see just how bad the fit is by the amount of filler needed on the lower panel to make it blend.

So, I've done enough work that I'm able to post in here with the start of my entry.
I'll be using the Kinetic 1/48 F-16 AM Block 15 MLU kit, plus the recently released Fightertown Adversary Ghosts decal sheet to do a NSAWC (that's Top Gun to you armour folks ) F-16A.
I've finished the cockpit, which was spruced up with an old Verlinden ACES II ejection seat I had lying around, and a few dials which were cut from a spare instrument panel decal, I believe from a Tamiya Mosquito...

Happy New Year everyone!
I have finished my M20 just before New Years Eve and here is the result ....
The silvering of some decals is really annoying but fortunatly it's only visible on the photos and not on the model. I will upload both my campaign builds to the gallery asap. If you like to see my Me 262 also and learn some interesting facts about the original, hop over to my assembly line thread at Aeroscale and scroll down page 3.
I really enjoyed flying with you, guys, and hope there will be a 1/48 Campaign Pt. 4 soon. Please keep me informed. Now I carry on with my F7F Tigercat for the Nightfighter Campaign.
Happy modelling to all in 2013!
Torsten

Torsten, looks great! I may have to pick up one of those myself.
Just wanted to pop in and say Happy New Year. I've been busy with family the past few weeks and haven't had much bench time but I've started a base for my Matilda and the celluclay is drying as I type. I'll upload some pictures soon.
Didn't get any kits or modeling supplies this year (my wife claims I have more than enough already ) but I did have an enjoyably holiday break and I hope all of you did too.

Finally got started on my 1/48 Airfix Coyote.
For such a small vehicle there's a lot of parts:
But coming together nicely
Front portion is only dry fitted with blue-tac to make painting and detailing of the dash easier

Zon - thanks. I did spot those and some others with a google image search for 'stalingrad factory'. I've been catching up on a couple other campaigns with a DAK panzer IV and a Puma
Patrick - i feel saddened by that kit now. I cant believe so many flaws. I believe you can make it work out though
Neil - Welcome aboard and great start with the office chair
Torsten - congrats on another finish. You're lapping us in builds here lol
Miniflea - looking forward to what u do with the celluclay. I can sympathize with the lack of model budget approval
Sean - this will be a popular one to follow

Good to see every one moving along.Torston, another great build Man.I have been making good progress on the AB and hope to have some pics up this week end.
Miniflea Where did you get that kit? Did it come from a U.S. vendor? I am very interested in this kit and also the Jackal. If I could find them, they would both be in my stash......But not for long Jeff T.

Patrick: interesting vehicle. Too bad about the lack of rivet detail, but you seem to be pulling off a nice build regardless.
Neil: good looking cockpit. Looking forward to the rest.
Torsten: nice build and congrats on finish #2. I still think you have at least three more builds in you for this campaign.
Sean: really interesting vehicle and kit. I was not aware of either but will have to give it a look. Looking good so far. Keep it up.
Ted: welcome aboard.
Happy Modeling, -zon

quarter-kit.com says they are working on getting more wheels available soon for the jackal and coyote. It looks like they're about $6 a set.

Hi all. I'm another stray from Aeroscale but I liked the look of this campaign so I've enlisted. I'm building the Tamiya Swordfish MkII.
It's been in the stash for a while but I was inspired to bring it to the workbench following a conversation with my sister in law's grandfather on Boxing Day. The Swordfish was the first aircraft he flew in. Not sure why he was in it as he was in the artillery - a question for next time.
Anyway - I'll try my best to keep up with the cracking pace that has been set so far.
Cheers
Simon

Welcome Simon
That will be an interesting build and story to come. It's nice to see all the sprue shots. I didn't realize it was a 3 seater until I saw the 3 figures on the sprue then
I was watching war file video today on armored cars and halftracks and they had the big Messerschmitt me 323 on there. Another dio idea

Simon - looking forward to see how that "Stringbag" goes together. From waht I've read, that's a great kit.
Liking that Coyote too, Sean.
On the FW190....!! Not sure what to do now, I stripped the yellow band off and filled in with the white again. Sanded polished the edges, coat of Klear, remasked and resprayed the band. It's sitting there drying now, but I'm really not too hopeful that it's goona look ok. 2 options - either strip the whole lot back and start again, yeuchhh!! or accept it as it is complete with battle damage. The problem was there were so many layers built up - undercoat, base colour, camo, then the white, that it's become difficult to achieve a smooth transition. Thsi build has been tough on my nerves so far! I was hoping to have been decalling by this stage!! Soldier on!

Glad to see the new faces, welcome aboard.
This has been taking care of small stuff week end for me.Just when I think I'm almost done,I come up with more stuff to do
So here's the "small stuff"
I desided to place the antenna in the upright position and deployed...
Then, instead of the normal tow cable,I thought I would try and make a tow chain...
So things are moving forward slowley.
Did I mention that I had to strip the turret and repaint it?Or that I screwed up the wheels and am going to have to redo those also? Oh well, model on,Jeff T.

Yo Pete,I knew you could save that thing The shackle came out of Dragons 1/72nd Jagtiger kit#7345,there where a bunch of extras,so I thought I would try it.It looks a little big on the AB but I think it will be O.K..Jeff T.
