Great work everyone, as always. Greg, I really like your factory dio. I just finished reading Beevor's Stalingrad and it looks the part to me. I wouldn't want to be the guy with the tank gun pointed at...
Since I'll be away for the rest of the month, I decided to call my Demag done for the purpose of this campaign. Since last time I added the windows, a flat clear coat and a burnt umber wash. All else, including stowage and further weathering will be added for the diorama together with the Jeep of last campaign.
Thanks for another great campaign!
Cheers!
Stefan

Irvin - only 2 weeks left. Get that plane in the air!!!
Stefan - I think you've done great with a well camo'd and weathered Demag. I like the pe work and it clearly adds needed detail to this kit that shows even when all painted up. Congrats!

To One and All,
Excellent efforts by all.
Stefan - your Demag came out very nicely.
Greg - The Stalingrad Dio is top-notch - like the rest of your work over the last campaigns. Also your 'off-the-cuff' Jagdpanther. Much faster than I am with mine...
The BA-10, Sherman 105 dio, KV-1, the A-4 and the other 'wingy-thingy's' - wow, some truly outstanding work here. This shows that 1/48 is truly the 'universal modeling scale', well, except for the ship folks...
Here are some in progress shots of my Jagdpanther roughly halfway completed. The main 'bothersome' parts completed. The tracks, suspension and the attachment of the upper and lower hulls. The engineering of these Tamiya 1/48 always astounds me. A virtual perfect fit. A little overspray of yellow on the tracks to fix...(sigh)
Trying to complete this kit before the end. I can finally really work on the model, so life is good!
keep up the excellent work all,
Stephen (minas-ithil)

Wow, talk about great updates since I last checked in!
Greg & Chris, both fantastic dios.
Chris, I was able to visit Normandie, France this past summer, and your dio really captured the look of that area.
Burak, that's one great lookiing AB41. I've built that one, but not in the flaming red color.
Lap, nice Schwimwagen, I built the fuman one also (reboxed a frog). It's not as nicely detailed as the Tamiya one of course considering its age,but holds up surprisingly well.

I haven't gave up!
Decided to go with a camo scheme like on the box so I put the underlying color down, and tomorrow I'll seal it for the other colors.

Why they are 1/16... of course! That's just a couple that I have built.

Running out of places for the drying time so that little spot there is the safest.
Hope there's a 1/48 Scale Campaign #4 as I am getting in the mood for an airplane build?

Really great looking models by the builders in the thread. I am afraid I am out of this one. I looked at the canopy for my Revell AV-8B and there are bubbles that ended up inside it when it was molded so it will not be usable. A replacement is presently unavailable from Revell so I will be ordering a clear tree from the Hasegawa distributor for their AV-8B kit. I guess this will be in a Hanger Queen Campaign at some point.
Best wishes,
Ian

Jeff that missile is just cool wherever its parked.
Ian. We'll still send you a ribbon. Maybe post a pic with the canopy just laying on it

Jeff-------I thought about that but clear plastic is rather difficult to deal with and I figured I would make an already bad problem worse. Your V-2 looks good too.!!!!!
Greg-----I doubt I could make the deadline anyway because after I saw the defect I quit working on it so I already lost a week.
Best wishes,
Ian

Hi John - great KV. The turret decals really look the part and the weathering. My only suggestion is to have the tow cables glued down next time to show their weight vs. up in the air. Every build is a learning experience. Congrats on a cool KV!!
