I started back on the Tamiya Panzer IV/D. I scratched a stowage rack for the rear and a jerry can bracket for the side. I didn't take any pictures of those. They were crafted from scrap styrene and were intended to appear really thrown together.
Drybrushed a slightly lightened panzer grey in a "reversed drybrush" to show the factory gray paint underneath. I added a a light dark wash.
Decals on. I used the ones from the kit. I was shocked that they had not dried and cracked. Added the stowage and jerrycans.
And with that I shall call this one done. This one is probably it for this year's Unfinished Business Campaign. I've go a stack of unfinished kits so I'm up for the next installment. It's been a great way to get a fire lit to knock some of this kits off the "to-do list". I'm actually working on more unfinished kits than I posted here.
I'm going to hold back on uploading the final picture to the gallery. I think I have a few DAK crew figures somewhere around here. If I find them I'll add them and then upload.

Ok, I know I said there would be more progress pics for the Jagdtiger ages ago, but hey better late thank never!
here is the progress on the figures
still need to do some cleaning up and detailing around the eyes, and do some of the small details like belt buckles and such. the shell needs painting as well, but it is not glued at the minute so it will be an easy job
this is of course only the reloading crew, the actual vehicle crew themselves are a little further behind, there will be pics of them soon I hope
Other builds all looking fantastic so far!

It´s been a while...I´ve decided to switch to a slightly differnt kit lurking on my shelf of shame:
Alans Marder II Ausf D... at the time I bought and started it the only on in its scale... of course Bronco came out with a new one a few weeks later... and the rest of the story should be know to any of us
constrution was completed and base paint on... today I finaly painted the rubber on the weels...

Nice work on those shelf queens, dudes!
My T-62 is getting there, slowly but surely.
First, decals. They're are a mix of the ones that came with the kit and some from Star Decals. Then on to some weathering: dry brushing with dark green, filters, a raw umber wash, and then dry brushing with a rust/gunmetal mix...
...now on to the tracks.

Tamiya's 1/35 Char B1 Bis is finally finished ....
Awesome finish, love the mud work on the lower hull!

Pics for these two. Ancient DML beasties, T-80U and SMT ..... And yeah the smoke grenade launchers are unwired and glued at the wrong angle on the SMT, but I'm calling this one done.
They both look pretty good and it's great to see older kits still being built with newer style finishing.
And some of my recent progress. I've brought the M-ATVs I was working on in the Current Service campaign as I ran out of time to get them finished before it closed. Hopefully that qualifies them as unfinished business!!!? If not take them as some inspiration to get things completed lol
Anyway they're solid cast wargaming pieces scaled at 1/50th and designed to be compatible with 28mm and 1/48th.
cheers
Brent

Holy cow Brent!
Are M-ATV's really that big? Or is the scale just compressed for game play sake?
I can't imagine they are that big.
Thanks for the kind words on the old dogs. I can't justify spending the money on new kits when I have the old dogs languishing on the shelf. At least for these two, my conscience is clear to go after Meng and Trumpy kits. Gotta finish those DML T-72's next.
Can't decide, do I finish off the SP designs TOS or by the new Trumpy kit....

Well now I'm gonna have to run a tape over them as I'm intrigued to know exactly how they scale out. From various sources roughly the Abrams is 2.4m high (top of turret) and the M-ATV is 2.7m to the roof line, so with the turret they are tall mothers....
I couldn't find a pic of one next to an Abrams so the one below will have to do (photo credit on top of picture). I have some pics showing them make HUMMMVs look like midgets but I can't post them up till later.
cheers

Not an awful lot left to do with them Brent, but they still qualify as Unfinished. Will enjoy watching the end of this build. Can't wait for Kinetic to release the New & Improved version of their 1/35 M-ATV

Thanks Sean, I'd love to have a go at a 1/35th version!
Still got plenty of things to do though on these guys though. Spent a day finishing the detailing on both the M-ATVs and Abrams yesterday.
All small stuff mostly, aerials and ties downs etc. Biggies were reworking the M240 and making CIPs panels for the Abrams and improving the Rhino jammer and adding stowage cages to the M-ATVs.
cheers

Good morning all,
I hereby declare that this T-62 is DONE!!
I bet we all have that one kit that seems like it doesn't want to be built. This has been that model for me. Lost parts, rebuilt tracks, dropped twice, stuff broken off (and not always re-attached!!!!) There may be one or two more things I could have done to it, but I decided not to tempt fate.
So here she is:
It's a great kit, by the way...the screw-ups were all mine.
Thanks for looking!
Chris
