Good morning all,
I hereby declare that this T-62 is DONE!!
Chris
Very nice looking '62. There's nothing more off putting than pulling out a part built and them realising something's broken off in storage or missing altogether, not to mention breaking bits after making the effort to try an finish it ....... the result looks well worth it!
And .... I've finished my M-ATVs.
cheers
Brent

Did you ever think of doing one with the RPG net?

Yeah lol - very tricky though in this scale, even in 1/35th I reckon. I have some ideas of things to try though, maybe fishing line or wire with styrene blocks threaded through. If I get most done (a representation) I think in this scale it would look the part ......

Thnx, look fwd to seeing some scifi builds!
And I got the other gaming Battlegroup vehicles finished late (very) last night and now I'm off to the convention for the weekend. There's the 2 M-ATVs, a Bradley, Abrams, Warrior, Land Rover, Coyote and Jackal ....
cheers

Hard to believe they are 'gaming scale'..
Beautiful work..
It is always fun to see these shelf queens come back to life and get finished. I know I finish more kits for these campaigns than any others.

Ok, I should start ASAP if I mean to finish something during this campaign..
I have waayyy too many kits unfinished: KV-1, T-24, DAK Tiger, beute T-34, beute BA-64, beute T-70, Schwimmwagen and Triebwagen BP51. So I figured out, that maybe I should start with those, which are painted but missing final touches and weathering. Like these:
Maybe I start with this MiniArt BA-64 built as beutevehicle. Let's see what happens....

I'm joining this late in the game, but I've got a couple of shelf queens that need to be finished. The short deadline will help motivate me. The build I'll submit is Trumpeter's 1/35 LAV-R. I started this kit a couple of years ago and ground to a halt after a few months when other projects took precedence.
Here's what it looked like as of a couple of days ago.

I have this kit in the stash, unstarted. It is in line behind a LOT of other builds, but I am easily distracted by shiny new things..A builder on Facebook is doing one in the Berlin Brigade cammo scheme and it also looks amazing.
How is the build?
Is it like other Bandai kits in that many seam lines/joints are hidden with other overlapping plates?
Keep up the build and keep us posted.

Mike, mine's finsihed to the same degree. It fits as you have guessed...practically snap together. Possibly the best fitting / engineered kit I've built. After I got halfway through mine, I immediately ordered a second.
Why plan when you can react?

Hey,
Decided to jump in with my Italeri M60 Blazer which was sitting on the shelf for the last year or so...
This is where I am at right now...

Well,
I finally got started back on my Marder, did a fair amount of cleanup on the rear basket. I wasn't as fastidious about the seams when I first started this.
Cheers Rob.

Nice work Rob. Looks like there were a lot of sink marks to be filled?
Welcome Christian: you blaze away there and finish it this time
Nice "Technical" Roman. Where did you get the Dshk? I'd like to add one to a Meng pick-up

Roman,
Did you sculpt the arms for the figure or are they sourced from a kit?
I know about the DML Chinese volunteer figures and the Zvezda winter Russians, but I do not know of any shirt sleeve figures in firing poses.

...the show goes on. Had some progress on the M60 today, putting down a first layer of Revel 89 Beige (75%) + Revell 39 Green (25%). This is supposedly the heatedly-discussed IDF desert yellow.

@Christian
I like your M60 Blazer and the IDF desert yellow you have there. How did you apply it? It looks like you used an airbrush (but with enamel?).
Anyhow I have one of these kits in the stash and yours gives me inspiration to nudge mine further to the top of the pile.
Cheers

Thanks Sean and Matthew!
The colors are Revell aqua color applied with an airbrush.
The kit itself is great. Fit is beautiful with next to no filling except for two large gaps on the underside specially made so you can fit the top in.
What made this land on the shelf of shame is my apparent inability to follow instructions as the armor plates on the turret front simply doesn't seem to have enough place to line up as they should. This left me with three pieces which I wasn't able to place. So this is one thing to look out for when you start building.
