Looking to finish up this Mirage 7TP shelf queen. I hit the wall with this one when I tried getting the RPM track links to fit onto the sprockets, to no avail.
Now I've got Modelkasten track links and sprocket/idlers from a HobbyBoss AT-1 kit.
So far the fit of the track to wheels is excellent so hoping this will be the last hurdle to getting this one across the finish line.

Dear All,
Firs of all, thank you to have given this possibility to check for any unfinished job and restart...
My unfinished job is the 1:35 Italeri Sd.Kfz.234-2 Puma, ''vintage'' kit, waiting from several years to be completed, after almost completed the first painting coat:
Actually, box and instructions are missing.
Eight (of nine) wheels are available, and several loose pieces are also available.
Tonight I'll resume the job...
Regards
Giovanni

That 7TP should look good in that cam Chris. And I've a soft spot for the Italeri Puma as it was one of my very first 1/35th kits, one of the few I've ever built. Neat to see one being tackled in this age of superkits Giovanni!
And so here's the latest progress on my 20mm, getting very close to another three long suffering wips down (only 30odd to go lol). Just QC tiding up and weathering to go on these now ....

And so here's the latest progress on my 20mm,
Sorry, what scale are they? They don't look like 20mm (gaming?) tiny little things! Can you put a coin/pen/matches/ruler or something in the picture to give an idea of scale? The camo job on the 1st looks great and would be difficult enough in 1/35 never mind smaller....

Lol, Thanks for the compliment Sean. They're ok, definitely only gaming level kits though. The best I've got until I take some pics later today (I finished the IS last night) is a group shot.

Well, the Tamiya M5A1 is out of the running. Too many painting errors have finally put it in the trash. Continuing now with the Tamiya Leopard 1A4.

I´m done. That awful Alan Marder II kit can now finaly be placed on the display shelf:
Looking pretty good for an Alan Kit I´d say. I´m a bit surprised how it came out, way better than expected.
Hang in there Folks, it isn´t that difficult, just grab one and finish it

Brent, nice jobs on the Chally & IS-4 but I'm not sure about the bear-skin rug as a diorama.....
Glad to see you got the Marder done and it does look good!
Welcome on board Cam! That does qualify

No bears have complained ..... yet.
I better get sorted too and post some of the stuff I've finished into the campaign gallery.

I've begun to apply decals to my Leopard 1A4 but haven't been totally successful. Fortunately, the decals I've screwed up are the license plates/unit insignia of which there are 3 sets. 2 more chances to get it right.
The decal for the convoy plate definitely did not want to cooperate as the light in the center stands too high (matter of fact, the instructions don't mention it). I don't know if I'll paint the white parts or just leave them alone.

sign me up!
I've got shelves fulla queens just waiting for more of these.
Actually this campaign has been good motivation for me. I think between this and Hangar queen, I finished 7-8 kits this spring/summer.
Plus I'm still signing up for 'regular' campaigns where my completion rate is not so good, so I'm sure to have fodder for these for years to come.
Nice looking Mirage 7TP, Chris. You dont tackle the easy ones, huh? Finished (almost) product looks good.
Likewise Fabian, you are a braver man than I, Alan kits.. shudder From my experiences w them, the name must be an acronym for 'life is too short to build crummy models'

Funny ye all should mention time as an issue...
The idea of Unfinished Business, at least for me, is to see some of those builds that do not make the end of other campaigns finnaly come together. I have been speaking to John about how we can do this and have a few ideas:
1) Leave the campaign open with no end date. Would have to set a time limit though for every shelf-queen, say 3 months from when you announce your entry. It would be very manual for me to keep track and issue the awards, but possible.... but people would only ever get one ribbon.....the administration software is like that!
2) An annual campaign from Jan 1st to Dec 31 every year. Awarsds would be issued at the end of the year and only one award per year, no matter how many you finish. If we do this should we have a rule saying no builds from 1 year can be entered into the next year? Just to encourage people to actually finish them?
3) Leave it as a once in a while type campaign? Would knowing there is always the Unfinished Business campaign sap the motivation from other campaigns?
I'd love to hear your ideas on any of the options above or any alternative suggestions.
Thanks
Sean

Shurely not Mike, but well... I´m not the one to throw kits in the bin (or rather recyle them in the yellow bag for plastic waste )
But after a few crap kits I learned my lesson, these kits are just leftovers from my early modelling years...
I would be in for a another run, in any way... I´ve got a halfdone Grille from Alan and more than a dozen other kits on the shelves

Well, the Tamiya M5A1 is out of the running. Too many painting errors have finally put it in the trash. Continuing now with the Tamiya Leopard 1A4.
OMG don't throw it away! Just take the paint off & redo it!

At last, some advances! Summer and other projects took their toll. I succeeded (so I hope!) rectyfing the shaft angles, and substituting the gun barrels with those from BMK. Now Full speed Ahead!(fingers crossing ) There you have some pics, before surgery:

And now, after; AS yo see I also slightly rectified funnels' caps. But I didn't dare to made a complete amend. Now I'm tackling GMM's photoetch, first on boats and bridge. More soon.Regards!
